"Are you ready? " asked Mr. Pinker
"For what ? " I asked with a confused look on my face.
"To hit the road, "he said with a smile.
With that , I jumped up, ran to the bedroom , grabbed my bag and was out the door. ( Yep, I keep my bag packed for camping trips. Hee! Hee! 😀😁😂)
"Whoa there, Nelly! " yelled Mr. Pinker . "I have to load up the camper first. "
Sooooo- these last couple of days we have been spending some lazy days at the lake.
The other morning, I heard the low rumble of Mr. Pinker bustling about in the camper.
"Where are you going , Hun?" I asked.
"To get dinner, " he said with a smile. I just rolled back over and went to sleep. It was too early for me.
While Mr. Pinker fished the morning hours away, I caught up on my Zzzzzs. 😴💤😴💤
Once I was up and about , I went outside and worked on appliqueing my yellow heart blocks.
This project was inspired by Di at Quilting is Blissful blogspot. She always has the cutest heart projects in the works. ❤💛💚 13 yellow hearts were appliqued .I still need 5 more.
Soon I heard Mr. Pinker making his way back to camp.
"Why are you placing your blocks on the ground?" he asked.
" I was just snapping some photos, " I said.
"Why don't you move to the trailer? "
Hmmm now why hadn't I thought of that. Oh well. 😏 I spread some of my lovely heart blocks across the bed of the trailer to admire.
I will be piecing them together like this once that I have all of them appliqued.
After snapping a few photos, I followed Mr. Pinker into the old truck camper. Mr. Pinker was looking about sniffing. "I do not smell breakfast," he said slyly.
"Breakfast! " I exclaimed. "It is dinner time ! Where are those fish?"
" The fish are pretty elusive this year. I guess we will be eating leftover cabbage soup, "he replied.
After eating, I sat down and finished the first of the Durene Jones "Bunny Eggs" which was a sweet gift from my dear friend, Marianne.

I am stitching mine in DMC 221. Thank you dear friend.
I then pulled out my 2nd stitch to work on . - a new house stitch inspired by a house that I saw on the drive to camp.
As I worked, Mr. Pinker pulled out the Omnia Stove top oven.
"Whatcha making?" I asked.
"Brownies" he said with a grin.
Soon the Omnia oven was working. It was not long before I jumped up and went outside.
"Where are you going? " asked Mr. Pinker.
"Outside. ", I replied. " The smell is too enticing." But in the end I marched right back in , relinquished to the delectable smell and ate a brownie or two. Hee! Hee!

Not pretty, but the brownies were yummy. |
So that is what is going on at the campground on this fine day. Quilting, stitching , fishing, and eating! I hope you are doing something you love!
As Always,
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

I am joining these lovely ladies' link parties. I hope you check them out; they always have so many wonderful projects going on and provide the opportunity for other needleworkers to meet.
