A new house is in the neighborhood. Welcome, Sweeties. I just wanted to pop in to show you my latest dwelling in Pinkerville.
It is called Aunt Fannie's Letter and Keys House .
Originally, I was going to name it after my Great Aunt Dot who was like a 3rd grandmother to me. Aunt Dot was the postmistress in a small town many years ago. But since I changed the color of the home ( not pink like Dot Dot would have liked) I renamed it . I think my Great Great Aunt Fannie would approve.
This little house is surrounded by keys with a small alphabet below.
It could be stitched in any choice of colors, but I settled on 13 DMC floss colors which included: 433, 612, 730, 782, 830, 838, 902, 924, 937, 3013,3799, 3830, 3858
Aunt Fannie's Letters and Keys House is stitched on 14 count Aida that I coffee/ tea dyed myself.

What a delightful and lovely new saltbox house. The keys are a wonderful new motif. You know red is my favorite color and you already have some lovely red saltbox houses so I digress. LOL
ReplyDeleteI Love EWE, too.

Thank you for this beautiful pattern. I still have two houses to stitch, but I will make them. Thank you !
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! So many details to take in.
ReplyDeleteLove your new house. I'm always curious as to the why of keys and the date...Blessings!
ReplyDeleteAnother house to add to my list - so looking forward to this one!! I am slowly but surely getting all of the Saltbox houses stitched up and change them out for each month! Thank you once again for sharing your creative and beautiful patterns to inspire and keep me stitching away. Carrie
ReplyDeleteLove your houses and am working through all of them! I would love an ACORN HOUSE. Thanks for your patterns...I also stitch the smalls.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous new addition to the neighborhood, Melisa! I think your Great Great Aunt Fannie would approve. Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I liked reading the story about your Great Great Aunt Fannie! She would have been delighted!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteAunt Fannie's House is an adorable design. I could live in Pinkerville!
ReplyDeleteHouses and samplers and hearts used to be my favorite things to stitch, but haven't done any in quite some time. In fact, lately, haven't been feeling very crafty at all, but need to pick something to start working on. A whole set of houses in all the colors would make a grand gallery wall.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute new house design, Melisa! Thank you! Hope you never run out of Aunts so that these sweet houses keep coming :) I'm sure Aunt Fannie would be honored knowing this newest chart is named after her! ♥
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful design.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing!
