Christmas Stocking- Barnyard Christmas Freebie

Good morning , my sweet Farm Chiks. Is your day off to a great start? I sure hope so. Ok. I have one of my looney questions again. Can I  really be  called a crazy chicken lady when I do not even own chickens anymore? 😳😂😜🐔🐔🐔  I just don't know.  I tell you - I am plumb smitten over them though and still can not get enough of stitching them. In my defense, I have officially been chicken free for about 3 years or at least owning live ones.  On the otherhand, I do go and visit my sister's chickens.Plus I have been collecting chicken items since the 90's!!! And I still have my chicken coops and feeders!!!! Yikes!  I may be a crazy chicken lady!!!!🐔🐣😳  Fortunately, I know I am not the only one. Lol.  Now which one of you is going to admit that you are a crazy chicken lady too? 😃 Aaah, come on ! If I can do it, you can do it. Lol

Well today , I got another stitch to share with you and you got it! It is a pig stitch!   Naahh, I'm kiddin' ; it's a chicken stitch. 

               

It is an new addition to my Barnyard Christmas ornaments. A big black hen is stuffed into a red stocking. You know what- I think that hen is Edna from Annie and the gang You may remember her  in Snowflakes, Sledding and Chickens  another great winter chicken stitch. 

 Anywhoo! Santa can certainly leave a little chicken in my stocking any day, and I would be one happy chicken lady. 

Christmas Stocking is a small like the other Barnyard ornaments with a design size of 31 x 31. I stitched mine on tea/coffee dyed aida which brought the size to around  2 1/4" squared.  

Six glorious DMC colors are used in this little design . I used DMC  898, 976, 895, 498, white and black but certainly use whatever colors your sweet little heart desires.
