Good morning, Sunshine and Happy Thursday! Welcome , ya'll.
It is another beautiful day in the holler. It is supposed to be in the 70's. The birds are chirping, and some flowers are blooming.
Soon the trees will be getting their leaves.
I have been busy all week working in the greenhouse and planting a few seeds.
Today I will be taking a break from working outside for I have some embroidery work on the agenda.
"Basket of Blooms" is my latest embroidered block for my Summer Days quilt.
Four blocks completed. I really like seeing them with the vintage feedsack quilt. Hmmm. I might use 30's fabrics when completing them. It's an idea! ๐ก๐ค
Previous blocks include: Little Blue Birdie ,Time to Plant , and A Bowl of Berries .
I'm off to draw out another block. Thank you my friends for stopping by. Hope you have a very lovely day and a wonderful weekend.
Happy stitching and quilting, yall

Wow! Your spring season is way ahead of ours, Melisa! It is only 27° here today! No signs of any blooms for at least another month, I'm sure. Your latest little design is darling. Hope you are having a lovely start to your March ♥
ReplyDeleteBrrr! That is cold, Carol. Thankfully, I am sure you have lots of stitching to keep you busy while you are staying warm and cozy inside. I am looking forward to seeing your March stitches. You always inspire me. Thank you so much for the sweet visit, Carol. Happy stitching. Hugs
DeleteReally sweet embroidery, Melissa. Looks fab on the 30s background. I've been working out in the yard this week, too.
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Sue. I think I will pair these blocs with 30's fabric. It is so wonderful that you have been able to spend some time outdoors. I hope it has been warm there and you have got a lot completed. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.
DeleteI do love your little stitchery designs, very sweet indeed. So nice for you to see flowers in the garden and know your Springin almost there. It's the start of Autumn here now.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Jenny and thank you so much for the sweet visit and compliment. I have really enjoyed working on these blocks as I dream of warmer weather. I wondered when Fall started in your neck of the woods. Have a wonderful weekend and happy quilting.
DeleteSweet Basket of Flowers, thank you for your time. I have a few flowers and bushes budding. I, also, have tomatoes starting to set fruit, tiny little pin haad size but it is early. Too excited and happy, spring is really coming to Arizona..I like the 30's fabri. Sending much love and many hugs to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Mary. Spring sounds like it is arriving in AZ. Eeeeh ! Isn't it exciting to see the first bit of fruit even if it is early. I planted tomatoes and lettuce yesterday. My quince bush is blooming but no leaves yet ( that's weird. lol) Perwinkle still hasn't bloomed yet , but hopefully soon. Have a wonderful weekend, Mary . Keep me posted on your gardens. Hugs.
DeleteCute cute cute
ReplyDeleteAAah thank you so much, Penny. I really enjoyed stitching on this . I am debating on how to set the blocks. I am thinking a churn dash or shoo fly block. But we will see. Have a very lovely weekend Hugs .
DeleteWe have seen an increase in birds; will look to see if the daffodil shoots have started on the way to town later. Your basket of flowers is adorable. Happy Friday, Melisa!
