Glad Tidings and Barnyard Christmas freebie

It is a fabulous rainy Friday here in the holler. It is supposed to rain for the next two days. In fact , Saturday supposed to be downright nasty with chances of wind gusts.  Rainy days means it is a great time to hunker down in the quilt room and enjoy fabric , needle and thread. Don't you think?

Last Friday began Pam Buda's of Heartspun Quilts Glad Tidings  Sew Along .  Part 1 was posted Dec. 3, 2021.

And in no time flat, I had the main units stitched up.

Part 2 of the sew along will be posted today. But guess what?

I went ahead and sewed my little quilt up!๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿงต It was such a quick and enjoyable quilt to work on.  I alternated my reds and greens compared to Pam's.

Next week perhaps I will spend my time quilting. it.

Last night, I did a little finishing on another Barnyard Christmas ornament.

This one is called Christmas Stack .

I have been wanting to try to stitch a horse  for the Barnyard series for so long.

I am going to name this horse Marjorie after my daughter's horse that she had for a very short time.

A teeny little sheep and pig is stacked on the horse's back. So cute.

If you would like to stitch this little piece , please check out the links below .

Many of you know , but I always like to leave this little disclaimer.

I stitch my little designs for fun and to decorate my home. I feel very blessed by this community and love sharing my little charts, but I am not a professional designer. And I do not have professional software. Thank you for understanding that I  have to put each page on separate pdf downloads because of the devices I use. I apologize for that.  And I am always grateful for your kind encouragement , your visits, and stitching my little designs.

  8. Thank you, thank you so much, Melisa. The barnyard stack is so cute, and I love your newest quilt top. I am knitting, knitting an afghan/coverlet for my grandson, it will be about 60"x70". Why do I always end up trying to beat the clock??? Too many sweet and wonderful patterns to indulge in and then time seems to fly faster in December than any other months, LOL. Enjoy your weekend and have a wonderful day. Love and hugs from Arizona. (We had rain last night, but we could use a lot more. None on the scene until Tuesday:()
