Hello , dear friends. Come on in and let's talk Christmas. To tell the truth , I am counting down the days to when I put up my first tree. Can you believe 70 more days till Christmas?
When do you put up your Christmas tree? I put up my 1st tree on November 1st. I do have to admit, I am ready to put up the tree now. Whenever I start seeing all the pretty decor in the stores, I get so pumped for the season.
Today I am sharing the 11th ornament in the Barnyard Christmas series. This piece is called "Hanging the Star" . A sweet ewe, pig and chicken have all joined together to top the tree with the Christmas star as they celebrate this special holy night.

If you have missed any of the other ornaments, you can click on the names below and you will be sent to the previous posts. Some are in pdf form; some are not.
Chicken Sled, Santa's Ride , Special Delivery , Christmas Barn, Christmas Bucket, Christmas Tractor , Santa on the Farm, Mrs. Claus on the Farm , The Stockings Were Hung , and Santa's Visit
I hope you decide to add "Hanging the Star" to your Christmas decor. I can not wait to add mine to the tree. Thank you so much for visiting me and for all of the support, inspiration, and encouragement you all give me. As always...
Happy stitching, ya'll
Melisa
I would love to see your stitch. You can always direct message me on Instagram or use #pinkernpunkinquilting .
Another adorable ornament, Melisa! We usually put up the tree about 10 days before Christmas. Enjoy your Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin. My mom used to put hers up a week before Christmas. I think because we used to have cedar trees as Christmas trees when growing up. I bumped it up to the week before Thanksgiving when I started decorating and then November 1st. Lol . I love Christmas. Well I love all of the holidays. Lol. 66 more days till Christmas. Lol Happy stitching. Hugs, Melisa
DeleteThanks so much! Now that we have an artificial tree for the last few years I can put it up as early as I want. :)
ReplyDeleteLol that is the great thing about artificial trees. Though I do like the smell of a real tree. Thank you so much for visiting, Suzanne and happy stitching.
DeleteThank you! I am really enjoying (and planning to stitch) your farmhouse series. I might have to add a duck though.
ReplyDeleteLol you have the cutest name. A duck would be perfect. I have the little goose as a freebie but it looks like a duck too. Lol. I still want to stitch up a goat, donkey or horse. It is just coming up with them . Lol. Thank you so much for putting these on your stitch list. I so hope you enjoy them and thank you for visiting me.
DeleteMelisa,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for ALL your visits and sweet words!! I truly do appreciate you taking the time to stop by!!! I have been decorating the upstairs and I should finish with my Sitting Room this week.... I am hoping to decorate the Den for Christmas next week because that is the only room downstairs where I do not have FALL OR Halloween decorations except for the doll house which I will be posting soon....Stay safe, healthy and happy!!!
Hugs,
Debbie
I have been so woefully behind on checking my favorite bloggers and I had such a wonderful visit with you. You always inspire and refresh my creative juices ; I can not tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your talents and creativity in decorating. I can not wait to see the upstairs and so look forward to your Christmas. I have a confession- I turned on my Christmas music today. It relaxed me and made me so happy. Lol. Hugs, Melisa
