Prim Winter Cheer- A Christmas Freebie

Good Saturday morning.  14 more days until Christmas. Mr. Pinker and I went Christmas shopping all day yesterday in hopes of finishing up. Let the wrapping begin!  😀🎁

On the way home we stopped in a  neighboring town and toured the city park's Christmas lights display.

It was hard to get good photos, but they did a fabulous job.

I am so excited to share with you Prim Winter Cheer . Santa is in his sleigh and is ready to delivery presents to all of the good girls and boys.

It is a small just as the others in the series and measures 33 x 45. I stitched mine on 14 count aida which brings it to about 2 3/8" x 3 1/4".

If you are interested in stitching this little piece, please check out the pdfs below.

Many of you know , but I always like to leave this little disclaimer.

I stitch my little designs for fun and to decorate my home. I feel very blessed by this community and love sharing my little charts, but I am not a professional designer. And I do not have professional software. Thank you for understanding that I  have to put each page on separate pdf downloads because of the devices I use. I apologize for that.  And I am always grateful for your kind encouragement , your visits, and stitching my little designs.

and Prim Winter Angel

and Prim Winter Hope

There is one more to go for this year's series which I will post next week.

Since I have all this wrapping to do, I guess I better get busy. I wish I could borrow some of Santa's elves to help me wrap.

Have you seen the Santa cam on Youtube  by Festive Studios. It runs live for 24 hours and kids can see all that is going on at the North Pole .  The grandbabies have been popping in every so often to see ole' St. Nick, Mrs. Claus and the elves.

Thank you for the sweet Saturday visit. Have a beautiful and blessed day and as always...

Happy stitching, ya'll

Glad Tidings and Barnyard Christmas freebie

It is a fabulous rainy Friday here in the holler. It is supposed to rain for the next two days. In fact , Saturday supposed to be downright nasty with chances of wind gusts.  Rainy days means it is a great time to hunker down in the quilt room and enjoy fabric , needle and thread. Don't you think?

Last Friday began Pam Buda's of Heartspun Quilts Glad Tidings  Sew Along .  Part 1 was posted Dec. 3, 2021.

And in no time flat, I had the main units stitched up.

Part 2 of the sew along will be posted today. But guess what?

I went ahead and sewed my little quilt up!😀🧵 It was such a quick and enjoyable quilt to work on.  I alternated my reds and greens compared to Pam's.

Next week perhaps I will spend my time quilting. it.

Last night, I did a little finishing on another Barnyard Christmas ornament.

This one is called Christmas Stack .

I have been wanting to try to stitch a horse  for the Barnyard series for so long.

I am going to name this horse Marjorie after my daughter's horse that she had for a very short time.

A teeny little sheep and pig is stacked on the horse's back. So cute.

If you would like to stitch this little piece , please check out the links below .

Frosty McChill QAL- Block Number 6 "Learning to Ski"

Brrr! Baby, it's cold out there. How is the weather in your neck of the woods? The weather is certainly a lot different compared to last week.

Welcome , ya'll. It is time for another embroidery Thursday.

A few weeks ago Mr. Pinker and I went on a camping trip and and stayed at Fort Massac in lovely Metropolis , Illinois- home of Superman.

Hubby and I of course had to go see Superman located downtown by the courthouse.

We also took some time to  stroll along the streets which were getting their winter adornments.

Simple but cute little wooden snowmen-

Wouldn't these be cute to make .All you need is a bit of wood and some paint and then you could go to town.

Today's Frosty's block is called "Learning to Ski".

Frosty looks exactly like I did on my 1st attempt to learn to ski. I just could not get the hang of it, but Frosty will be skiing like a pro in no time. It should be in his icy blood ; shouldn't it?

Little Rae Rae is not even going to attempt learning to ski and is quite content resting on Frosty's arm.

Blocks shared so far are Let it Snow"  and " Sled Time  " and ...

The Tree March  and "Just a Sweeping!!!

" Chasing Snowflakes" and " Learning to Ski "

INSTRUCTION TIME !   Now remember , I am no expert, but am just sharing how I embroider mine. Please prepare your fabric, embroider in whatever manner that  makes you happy. The number one rule is to always have FUN FUN FUN!!!

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut your fabric to 8 1/2 "x 11 1/2" . This will  be trimmed later.

2.  Place the pattern between a light box or a window and center the design as best as possible. Trace the design onto your fabric using your favorite transfer fabric pen or pencil .

3. Embroider the design .  I used a back stitch using 2 strands of DMC 498  on most of the design. A stem stitch would look  quite lovely if you prefer.  I used 1 strand of 498 for the details in the snowman's face.

4. On the snowflakes , I used a French Knot at the end of 4 of the points . You do not have to include the French Knot or you may want to add a teeny bead at each point . How cute would that be!!!

5. Press and trim to block size 7 1/2 x 10 1/2".

Well the blocks are certainly growing. It is always exciting to see them coming together.

I always like to leave you telling you how much I appreciate each and every one of you. I feel very blessed by ya'll, and I am so touched that you would spend a few minutes out of your day with little ole' me. Thank you so much, my sweeties.💚💙💗 Have a beautiful day and keep on being Awesome!!!! And as always...

Happy stitching, ya'll
