A Scrappy Finish

The Scrappy Adventure continued this week with the borders being added to The Ribbon quilt which was  a Quilt Along offered by dear Alycia at Quilty Girl blog

( Today, Alycia is sharing her finished quilt. )

Anywhoo...First up was the blue borders. I just grabbed all of the leftover blue strips , ran them through the machine and soon added them to the quilt.

Next was the final border. While Alycia's quilt had a lovely white border, I opted for a red one. You know me- I have a love affair with all things red.❤❤❤❤

Sorry for the hazy photos. It was a rainy day in the holler. ☔⛈

To wrangle in all of that scrappy goodness, I chose a red Cranston VIP star print which I purchased from a quilty friend.

I did  cut  the outer border strips 1/2" wider than Alycia's border so  that I could easily work any leftovers into another quilt I have in mind.  Thinking ahead. Hee! Hee!

With a zoom zoom of the machine, the quilt top was completed! Walhah!

Thank you so much, Alycia for the fun filled quilt along.

So what am I going to get into next?  Well, we shall see. Meanwhile I do have some potato chip blocks calling my name.

Still working on potato chip blocks.

Are you working on a special quilt  or stitch right now?

I will leave you with more rainy day photos from the garden. More rain is expected so if you drop by,  you may find me dancing in the rain with needle and thread in hand!

As Always,

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Thank you for the sweet visit.
