Aaah ! Slow Stitching Sunday! The guilt free day of sitting back , relaxing and enjoying some good ole' fashioned stitching. Welcome, ya'll!
I will be spending this hot summer day on the porch with a big glass of iced tea and my Summer Days quilt. I have 3 blocks to quilt . My needle will be meandering along a A Basket of Blooms
I am quilting 1/4" from the seams ,and I am quilting around the embroidery .
If I am fortunate, I may just find myself quilting A Bowl of Tomatoes by the days end.
I shared the Summer Days embroidery last year over 12 weeks.
If you are interested in stitching them, they are still on my blog.
The Summer Days blocks include: Little Blue Birdie ,Time to Plant , A Bowl of Berries , A Basket of Blooms , Buzz Buzz , Red , White, and Ewe , Summertime Treat , Lemonade , Sunflower Basket ,A Jar of Coneflowers , Home Tweet Home and A Bowl of Tomatoes.
It's time to start another wee sampler- this one is in a fall theme. This is a Choose Your Own Color Chart.
I have not decided the floss colors that I am going to use, but when I do I will certainly let you know.

ReplyDeleteWe keep an eye out for the squirrels in our neighborhood, especially when the local hickory tree starts to drop its nuts. Then it's run, run, run back and forth to the big maple tree where they have a home in a hollow. I keep looking at your little samplers, but have to finish a salt box house first...or maybe not! Thanks for sharing, Melisa. You are so generous with your talents. Kris
