Summer Days and Fall Stitching - Mini Squirrel Sampler

Aaah ! Slow Stitching Sunday! The guilt free day of sitting back , relaxing and enjoying some good ole' fashioned stitching.  Welcome, ya'll!
I will be spending this hot summer day on the porch with a big glass of iced tea and my Summer Days quilt. I have 3 blocks to quilt . My needle will be meandering along a A Basket of Blooms

I am quilting 1/4" from the seams ,and I am quilting around the embroidery .

If I am fortunate, I may just find myself quilting  A Bowl of Tomatoes by the days end.

I shared the Summer Days embroidery last year over 12 weeks.
If you are interested in stitching them, they are still on my blog.

It's time to start another wee sampler- this one is in a fall theme. This is a Choose Your Own Color Chart.
I have not decided the floss colors that I am going to use,  but when I do I will  certainly let you know.

Hmmm. I think I kept my rambles short and sweet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to spend it with me. I can not tell you how much that means to this ole' gal.
Have a blessed day and...

  4. A beautiful Sunday morning to you, I am loving your mini squirrel sampler. I don't really have any squirrels here in Arizona, oh, a few ground squirrels, they look a little scruffy but cute anyway. Have a wonderful stitchy day. Hugs from sunny Arizona.

    1. I have wondered if there were squirrels in Arizona, Mary. We usually visit AZ every couple of years and I have never seen one there. I live in the woods and they are all over the place here. They are little characters . Have a Blessed day. Hugs.

  7. I live very quiet and simple days so I can do whatever I want whenever I want. LOL That being said my favorite are the days spent either x-stitching or hand embroidering. It's very difficult to express how much bliss it bring to my day. Love your squirrel sampler - thank you so much, Melisa. Enjoy your Sunday!

  11. We keep an eye out for the squirrels in our neighborhood, especially when the local hickory tree starts to drop its nuts. Then it's run, run, run back and forth to the big maple tree where they have a home in a hollow. I keep looking at your little samplers, but have to finish a salt box house first...or maybe not! Thanks for sharing, Melisa. You are so generous with your talents. Kris

  20. I swear I commented on this twice before! Here, I'll try again. LOL I've copied the pattern, as it's simple enough I might be able to do it! Do we still start at the center, or can I start at the edges? I am not sure about that starting point. Thanks for the design! Love the Summer Days still.
