Dedicated to my dear baby sister, Amy. I love and miss you so much, Amo. ❤❤❤
I really enjoyed seeing all of your photos of rusty, crusty and the garden. Thanks for sharing, Melisa.
ReplyDeleteYou are always so kind, Jeanna . Thank you so much. I have a little rusty garden that I like to put rusty treasures in. Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs.
DeleteThanks for the lovely Prim Garden tour--so neat!! I love your little sunflower quilt too...with the bee skeps...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteAah thank you so much ,Julierose for stopping by for a visit. The sunflower quilt was a fun one to work on- just using what I had on hand. Have a lovely evening.
DeleteSuch lovely pictures, Melisa. I like your rusty crusty weather vane, little garden kitty, and that beautiful zinnia has colors to knock your socks off! My husband had to look up the butterfly perched on the thistle and decided it is a Pipevine Swallowtail. Sure enough and the picture in his field guide was taken in Hawkings County, Tennessee! Stay away from the next batch of storms. Kris
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Kris. This was a mix of photos from the holler and at my sister's house. She loved the rusty and crusty pieces like I do. Oh how interesting to know what kind of butterfly it is. I am all into butterflies; they remind me of my sis. While at the cemetery today a big blue butterfly flew by me; I felt like it was a sign. The rain moved in earlier than what I expected. So I have spent the evening quilting. Lol. Have a wonderful evening. Hugs.
DeleteThank you so much for the eye candy! You certainly have an eye for great picture taking. Loved the side of the building with all the old tools. Reminded me of my grandpa's farm on the side of the machine shed. That's a good looking squash!
ReplyDeleteI certainly had a great time taking photos and sharing all of the rusties and crusties. Lol. I think that is a " thing" out here in the country to decorate the she sheds with rusty treasures. You can always find something laying around on the farm to decorate with. Thank you so much , Ginny for the sweet afternoon visit. Hugs.
DeleteLove your tour - thank you. I thought I'd let you know that my dd got her first chicken and they're almost done with their chicken coop. Guess I need to get going on those chicken cross stitch patterns you have lovingly created for us! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting , Donna! I bet she will have her chicken named and it will be all cozy in its new coop very soon. Having a chicken coop is the way to go. I am sure she will enjoy every minute of having her new hen and I bet more will be joining her soon. I am looking forward to hearing which chicken stitch you work on 1st. I am so honored that you will be stitching some of my humble hen designs. I hope you enjoy. Hugs.
DeleteAlways great to tour with you, Melisa! I love all the birdhouses and definitely agree every fence post needs a birdhouse!! I especially love that one! Did Mr. Pinker make it?
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, Brenda and thank you for dropping by for a sweet visit. . Dad made the birdhouses years ago. Whenever he finds a good hollow log, he makes a birdhouse for the fence post. The birds seem to love them. Have a wonderful day.
DeleteI also love rusty, crusty and dusty treasures! Thank you for sharing! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAren't they just fun, cheap items to decorate your garden with? Plus they have such character and history. So glad to hear there are others who have an affection for the rusty treasures. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteAlthough they've fallen out of favor since I was little, I still love morning Glories. What happiert flower is there, turning it's little blue face to the sun? Yes, every fence post needs a birdhouse! The sides of big old trees, too, And rusty is great decor. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe have morning glories everywhere here. It is a joy to see them in the bloom with the Purple Majesty flower smiling in the morning time too. Whenever dad finds a hollow log, he makes a birdhouse for the fence posts. Those birdhouses are well used too. Thank you for the sweet visit, Susan. I hope you are having a lovely day. Hugs.
