You want to see some clutter? LOL . You know I love my knick knacks. Well...
It's time to change the tablescape. Well at least make it look fallish!
Eeeh,! I decided to use the darling autumn tablerunner that my sweet friend , Cindy , made for me this past Christmas. Isn't it so pretty? Thank you, Cindy. I am so excited to add it to my table .
I like to layer my linens so I paired the tablerunner with an orange tablecloth and jade green runner and a lace runner. Wheeww that is a lot of runners, but I do enjoy the look of the layers.
Soon some of my green and jadeite pieces were layered on a tray along with loads of pumpkins.
My pumpkin Dollar Tree plates were included in the tablescape as well. .
In no time the table was set. We do not use this table . It is in a tight spot and is pushed against the wall, but I do love to have it set for the season.
Do you like to dress your table for the season?
As always,
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all
Melisa

Dedicated to my dear sister, Amy. I miss and love you so much. ❤👼
I finished the binding on my Country Four Patch.
I also finished stitching "Hello Pumpkin" , a gift from a dear Susan. I will be FFOing it this week. Thank you , Susan
A little fella will be posted on my blog tomorrow. Here is a peek. I hope you drop back by. Hugs
Huhu from Germany. My morning lecture is always your post. I sit here with my coffee and read and look. Nice decoration again. Yesterday we had our last summerday. Today... ooh not my weather. grey and wet. Like your shelf with all the porcelain and the little milkcow. Lol.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom had the same one and my brother took it. So are brothers.
Wait for the the little fello you will show and I am sure, I will stitch!
Hugs, Gabi
Good morning, dear Gabi and a lovely day to you. I am so touched that you begin your day with a sweet visit with me . Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The first day of fall has started for us too. I do enjoy the sun shining bright and fret when the skies turn gray. It is supposed to rain here this week which is needed. I am sure it will cool things down as well. My shelf is filled with many family treasures. Isn't the cow creamer sweet? I am so glad it brought back fond memories of your mom's .Sending you warm hugs.
DeleteYour fall tablescape looks fabulous, Melisa. The runner that Cindy made you is awesome. Enjoy! And no, I don't do a tablescape. Our table is used for meals at one end and at the other end is my writing center.
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting on pins and needles to use it in a tablescape. It is as cute as a button. I have always wanted to be able to use my table for meals. The kitchens are super small in this house, but we do have a counter with benches which is nice. I have thought about making this one as a desk. Thank you for the sweet visit, Robin. Hugs
DeleteYour decor looks just perfect for the season. Fall is my favorite! We only have decorations up in the entry hall. We "traded" our dining room table for a desk and chair for my husband, so the former dining room is his office now. We are waiting for our lottery house to have it all - lol!
ReplyDeleteLOL me too, Linda! Hee ! Hee! I always tell hubby I wish we would strike it rich even for just a small addition to have a real dining area. LOL. I enjoy decorating for fall too. I think I am just in love with all of the shades of orange. Hope your week is off to a great start. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteI used to decorate my table in the apartment for different seasons. Now all I have is the dinette which is used for the computer, my sewing machine, or cross stitch set-up. :-D But one day...Your table is so pretty! Thank you for sharing. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot of fun to decorate for the season isn't it, Donna? I have thought about using my table for the computer as well. It is much more comfortable to sit there, but have yet to do it. Thank you for the sweet Monday visit. Hugs.
DeleteMorning Melisa, your tablescape is so pretty. You have lots of goodies to choose from. Since we downsized and moved into an apartment, I don’t have space to put out all my pretties. You have a great Dayi this first full day of Fall. Bring on those cool days. 🧡🖤🤗
ReplyDeleteI have wondered how you are liking your new apartment, Patti. Are you settled in and enjoying it? I sure hope so. It was fun to change out the table for the season. I really look forward to Christmas time. I wish you a lovely 1st day of fall. It was 98 here but cooler weather is on the way. Warm hugs.
DeleteYour tablescape is lovely, you do autumn proud! I don't do much seasonal decorating but I did get out two table runners for the season including the ears of corn table runner & topper I made in '23. Since it's fall now, desserts are 'autumn' desserts with apples being the main ingredient, apple crisp, apple dumplings and apple cake. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you very kindly Gretchen. I have been chomping at the bits to use the table runner. I remember your corn tablerunner because I fell in love with it . I collect corn related items so that runner just drew me right in. It is perfect for fall. Autumn desserts are the best. I am in the mood for baking myself. I would love to visit a nearby apple orchard. The kiddos went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend. Enjoy your day and happy quilting. Hugs.
DeleteBeautiful, Melisa! I used to decorate our table seasonally but since our table (a BIG and TALL table) is now my cutting table, there are no decorations...except with fabric, mats, AccuQuilt dies, and rotary cutters! LOL It gets cleaned off when family comes to share a meal though. Have a great week! HUGS
ReplyDeleteOooh fabric , mats and rotary cutters- those are the best decorations of all!!! Hee ! Hee! How lucky are you to have a tall table. That would be perfect for cutting. Thank you for the sweet Monday visit, Brenda. Have a great week. Hugs.

Aaaah Debra you are the sweetest!!! I can not tell you how much you mean to me. It feels nice to be missed. I hope you like my little Squirrel Jar. I had a ball stitching the little fellow and I am working on a turkey for the next jar. For some reason I am as slow as molasses on stitching this year. I am not sure why . I guess it is one of those years. LOL. I wish you a beautiful day and thank you , sweet friend for making my day special. Hugs.
DeleteYour fall table is so fun, Melisa! I love orange with jade green - such a pretty color combination. I do enjoy dressing up the table for each season. Love getting out the fall things especially!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Diann. I have been wanting to move the jadite and green pieces to another area, but I have not found where yet so it was nice to pair them with the oranges. This was the 1st time I had done that. The colors play good together. I always love seeing your fall decorations. You have the cutest table quilts and accessories. Have a great day. Hugs.
DeleteSweet little squirrel peeping through! EEK! So excited!
ReplyDeleteLol thank you so much, Susie. I have a soft spot in my heart for squirrels. We have a lot of them this year - just scampering about everywhere. Have a great day. Hugs.
DeleteAs usual a beautiful arrangement. So much eye candy that I find myself scrolling back and forth. I'm not sure if I'm making myself dizzy or maybe I'm naturally dizzy. LOL As long as I'm happy who cares. LOL Guess what? Seriously guess what! Have you guessed, Yes, my family calls me annoying. LOL Last night I turned on my sewing machine in over 13 months and - drum roll please, I made a little quilt. So, needless to say I've been dancing in the streets. LOL I'm planning to make a second one today just like the one I made last. night. Fingers crossed. Enjoy your day! Darlene J
ReplyDeleteYahoo!!! Your quilting mojo is back!!! Hee! Hee!! I am so excited, dear Darlene! I bet your quilt is a cutie patootie and I do not blame you for dancing in the streets. Eeeh and a 2nd quilt is in the works! You go girl! I told you when the mood hit you would know. Keep that machine humming. Big hugs
DeleteYour little knick knacks are always so cute. I need to make myself an autumn table runner for on top of my cabinet at work. Right now, I only have a patriotic one and a winter one. LOL
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, dear Meari. An Autumn table runner would be delightful especially to have at work. I used to always enjoy adding touches like that to my work area years ago. I would like to make a Christmas runner soon. Maybe that will happen .. LOL. Enjoy your day
DeleteI love how everything was filled with pumpkins!!!
ReplyDeleteKisses
This was the first time I had mixed pumpkins with the dishes. The colors play well together. Thank you so much , dear Isabel for the sweet visit. I wish you a lovely day. Hugs.
DeleteOh, I see a squirrel!! Can't wait to see it tomorrow. The pale green jadeite is just lovely. Paired with the pumpkins in all forms, I think you hit it out of the park. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Ginny. I have had the jadeite pieces and greens sitting out all summer. It is nice to pair them with the pumpkins for a change. I am super excited to share the squirrel . He was a fun stitch. Have a great week, Ginny . Hugs
DeleteHugs from the Netherlands Melisa! We just came home this weekend from a visit to our daughter and her family in Denmark. We had a lovely time with the kids...they have grown so much till we saw them in january...
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you were able to visit your daughter and grandchildren. I know you enjoyed every minute of it and I am sure you got loads of hugs and kisses from the grandchildren. We are going to visit our daughter very soon. I am looking forward to it. Sending you big hugs
DeleteYour tablescape is beautiful! I love the jadite added in. Happy Fall ya'll! ❤
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you very kindly. My jadeite and greens stay there year round so it was nice to add a bit of fall to the mix. Have a blessed and beautiful day. Hugs
DeleteMelisa, as ever your decorating is fabulous! Love, love, love your Fall tablescape!
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, dear Kim. It was nice to do something a little different. I am enjoying the colors this season. I wish you a very lovely start to your week. Hugs.
DeleteSuch a pretty fall table setting. Too bad, it isn't in an area that you can use it. Although, resetting it might get tedious!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I do wish I could have the table in a more "usable area" . Maybe someday. LOL. It was nice to decorate it for the season though. Thank you so much , Terry for the sweet Monday visit. Have a great week. Hugs.
DeleteYour table looks so festive, love it!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, dear Shelly. I am enjoying using the light jade greens and oranges together. It was something different for me. I hope you are having a great week and are getting in some stitching time. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteSorry, FFO? What is this?
ReplyDeleteHi Jean. I had the exact same question a couple of years ago when I heard other stitchers use the term. A dear stitcher told me it meant Fully Finishing an object. I am not sure if that is just used by stitchers or if it relates to other crafts too. I think I learn something new everyday when it comes to quilting, stitching and the terms that are used. Thank you for the sweet Monday visit and I wish you the most wonderful week. Hugs.
DeleteAs you can tell, sweet friend. I've been away and just now catching up...so, I apologize for the abundance of comments. With that being said, I love the tablescape.
ReplyDeleteAaaw thank you so much, Jeanna. I am so very grateful that you took the time to catch up on my posts. I have visited your blog wondering if I was missing you for some reason. I figured you might be on a camping or family vacation. Happy Fall. Hugs
DeleteAaah shucks, thank you so much, Gail. You brought a warm smile to my day. I just started a new stitch tonight ; it is a house. I just have to decide on the colors though. Have a beautiful and blessed day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty table setting. My contribution to the seasons is season appropriate table cloths as we use all of our tables routinely.
ReplyDeleteI just love seasonal tablecloths. They are so festive and beautiful. I wish my table was more functional or at least in an area where we could dine off it regularly. Oh well, at least it can hold my pretties until I find a better place for it. Have a wonderful day, sweet friend. Hugs.
