A Fall Tablescape

You want to see some clutter? LOL . You know I love my knick knacks. Well...

It's time to change the tablescape. Well at least make it look fallish!

Eeeh,!   I  decided to use the darling autumn tablerunner that my sweet friend , Cindy , made for me this past Christmas.  Isn't it so pretty? Thank you, Cindy.  I am so excited to add it to my table .

I like to layer my linens so I paired the tablerunner with an orange tablecloth and jade green runner and a lace runner. Wheeww that is a lot of runners, but I do enjoy the look of the layers.

Soon some of my green and jadeite pieces were layered on a tray along with loads of pumpkins.

My pumpkin Dollar Tree plates were included in the tablescape as well. .

In no time the table was set. We do not use this table . It is in a tight spot and is pushed against the wall, but I do love to have it set for the season.

Do you like to dress your table for the season?

As always,

Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Melisa

"Be like fall and leave all of your worries behind."

Hugs and Stitches!!! 🤗🧵

Dedicated to my dear sister, Amy. I miss and love you so much.   ❤👼

I finished the binding on my Country Four Patch.

I also finished stitching "Hello Pumpkin" , a gift from a dear Susan. I will be FFOing it this week.  Thank you , Susan

A little fella will be posted on my blog tomorrow. Here is a peek. I hope you drop back by. Hugs

    1. Good morning, dear Gabi and a lovely day to you. I am so touched that you begin your day with a sweet visit with me . Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The first day of fall has started for us too. I do enjoy the sun shining bright and fret when the skies turn gray. It is supposed to rain here this week which is needed. I am sure it will cool things down as well. My shelf is filled with many family treasures. Isn't the cow creamer sweet? I am so glad it brought back fond memories of your mom's .Sending you warm hugs.

  2. Your fall tablescape looks fabulous, Melisa. The runner that Cindy made you is awesome. Enjoy! And no, I don't do a tablescape. Our table is used for meals at one end and at the other end is my writing center.

    1. I have been waiting on pins and needles to use it in a tablescape. It is as cute as a button. I have always wanted to be able to use my table for meals. The kitchens are super small in this house, but we do have a counter with benches which is nice. I have thought about making this one as a desk. Thank you for the sweet visit, Robin. Hugs

  3. Your decor looks just perfect for the season. Fall is my favorite! We only have decorations up in the entry hall. We "traded" our dining room table for a desk and chair for my husband, so the former dining room is his office now. We are waiting for our lottery house to have it all - lol!

I think I am just in love with all of the shades of orange. Hope your week is off to a great start. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

  4. I used to decorate my table in the apartment for different seasons. Now all I have is the dinette which is used for the computer, my sewing machine, or cross stitch set-up. :-D But one day...Your table is so pretty! Thank you for sharing. Blessings!

    1. It is a lot of fun to decorate for the season isn't it, Donna? I have thought about using my table for the computer as well. It is much more comfortable to sit there, but have yet to do it. Thank you for the sweet Monday visit. Hugs.

  5. Morning Melisa, your tablescape is so pretty. You have lots of goodies to choose from. Since we downsized and moved into an apartment, I don’t have space to put out all my pretties. You have a great Dayi this first full day of Fall. Bring on those cool days. 🧡🖤🤗

  6. Your tablescape is lovely, you do autumn proud! I don't do much seasonal decorating but I did get out two table runners for the season including the ears of corn table runner & topper I made in '23. Since it's fall now, desserts are 'autumn' desserts with apples being the main ingredient, apple crisp, apple dumplings and apple cake. Happy stitching!

    1. Aaw thank you very kindly Gretchen. I have been chomping at the bits to use the table runner. I remember your corn tablerunner because I fell in love with it . I collect corn related items so that runner just drew me right in. It is perfect for fall. Autumn desserts are the best. I am in the mood for baking myself. I would love to visit a nearby apple orchard. The kiddos went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend. Enjoy your day and happy quilting. Hugs.

  7. Beautiful, Melisa! I used to decorate our table seasonally but since our table (a BIG and TALL table) is now my cutting table, there are no decorations...except with fabric, mats, AccuQuilt dies, and rotary cutters! LOL It gets cleaned off when family comes to share a meal though. Have a great week! HUGS

I had a ball stitching the little fellow and I am working on a turkey for the next jar. For some reason I am as slow as molasses on stitching this year. I am not sure why . I guess it is one of those years. LOL. I wish you a beautiful day and thank you , sweet friend for making my day special. Hugs.

LOL As long as I'm happy who cares. LOL Guess what? Seriously guess what! Have you guessed, Yes, my family calls me annoying. 1. Hi Jean. I had the exact same question a couple of years ago when I heard other stitchers use the term. A dear stitcher told me it meant Fully Finishing an object. I am not sure if that is just used by stitchers or if it relates to other crafts too. I think I learn something new everyday when it comes to quilting, stitching and the terms that are used. Thank you for the sweet Monday visit and I wish you the most wonderful week. Hugs.
