A beautiful Wednesday to you sweet friends. I thought today we would go out to our recreational property for a visit. And while we are there I am going to pick up some rocks for landscaping back home.
We will be going down this overgrown path so you may want to put on your jeans and boots. Watch your step there may be rattlers about.
I hope you enjoy this Not So Wordless Wednesday visit to the creek.
I spotted a deer track! |
We enjoy trout fishing here. |
My oldest daughter's fishing hole. |
This is where my girls used to love to swim. |
It is hard to see but there is the body of a deer deep in the woods. Can you spot her? |
Hi there , Sweetie! |
Thank you so much for dropping by for a sweet visit. I was able to get a number of rocks to take back home to place around the flower beds. Thankfully there were no snake encounters. Lol
Oh , before you leave , I want to thank everyone again for all of the kind words on my IG anniversary posts. It may take me awhile to respond to everyone on Instagram but know that you are so appreciated .

ReplyDeleteThank you so much , Donna for the sweet Wednesday visit. It is a very peaceful area to visit. All you hear is the running creek and the rustling of the leaves. Have a great weekend. Hugs.
DeleteLoved going on the walk with you. You are lucky to have so much to see on your walks. Stinkin pretty property.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Patti. It is a pretty area with lots of trees much like our holler. I always enjoy looking for wildlife or watching the creek. Hugs.
DeleteWhat a beautiful walk you took us on, Melisa! I did spy the deer in that picture. I am glad that you did not come across any snakes in your wandering.
ReplyDeleteI had a nice evening in the woods. Hubby spotted the deer immediately ; it took me awhile and then I saw it. Oh yes, I would have been right back in the truck if I saw a snake. Lol. Thank you for the sweet visit, Robin. Hugs.
DeleteYour recreational property is so peaceful and beautiful. I imagine it is a wonderful spot to spend family time swimming and fishing. I can't think of anything better. I spotted the doe right away!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very peaceful little spot. When my girls were young , we used to visit the creek often and even camp .The girls loved to fish. It was a treat to see the doe. I thought she might have a baby near by , but did not see one. She didn't want to leave the area though so there may have been one bedding down. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteThis looks like soul zen🌻
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful peaceful place. I just wish I took my chair and was able to sit by the creek and enjoy the water. Lol. Thank you so much dear for the sweet visit. Hugs.

A hug
Oh thank you so much, Isabel. It is a beautiful little forest with lots of wildlife and trees. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.
DeleteBeautiful scenery, but you frightened me when you mentioned rattlers! We don't have that worry here, not a single snake in New Zealand.
ReplyDeleteOh how interesting that you do not have snakes ; well I learned something new. Hubby kept on reminding of where I was stepping since we were just down from the mountain there are rattlers about. Thankfully , we did not see any. Thank you for dropping by , Jenny. Hugs.
DeleteI love seeing your pictures. They are beautiful. However, I can’t get excited about the deer. We live close to the Metroparks and the deer are prevalent and extremely destructive. This month alone, they destroyed my lilac and azalea bushes, eaten half of my gorgeous hydrangea bush and ruined my hostas. So, no I don’t have nice feelings for deer, but please keep sharing your pictures.
ReplyDeleteAah thank you so much, Gail . We had a great day out visiting the forest and creek. Oh , my it does sound like you are having a time with the deer. I am sorry to hear that . We have a lot of deer where I live , but since I am in the forest anyway where there is plenty for them to munch on ; they leave my shrubs alone. I can understand why you are disheartened after all of your hard work and expense . You might check with your wildlife agency and get some suggestions. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteNot sure why my comment came through as Anonymous, but I’m Gail.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy it when you take us along on your wanderings. What tranquil, beautiful places to walk through and sit and ponder. I am glad for you that no snakes showed up.
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Ginny. It was a beautiful and peaceful day. No creepy crawlies to fend off nor snakes. Plus I got my rocks. Lol. Have a great weekend. Hugs.
