Winter Blues Hutch Tour

Good morning , Snowbunnies! And welcome!

The hutch has been cleared of all its Christmas goodies, and now it is time for the snowmen to roll their way onto the hutch shelves.  Yep, you guessed  it.

It is time for a "Country Clutter " post - the 1st one of the year! Eeeeh!

Please join me as I show you what I have been up to in the kitchen.

First,I changed out the shelf scarves from red buffalo checked to soft white lace runners that are actually window valances. I also kept the white Christmas lights for a warm glow.

Next up was the blue and white transferware plates that were all thrifted.

One of my favorites cost only a quarter .

It is the Currier & Ives "The Old Grist Mill" plate which is perfect for winter time.

Soon my hutch was filled to the brim with all kinds of winter goodness. Let's take a closer look.

The top shelf has loads of cross stitched pieces and bottle brush trees.

"It's Winter Time " was a freebie but for the life of me I can not remember who the designer is. Do you know?  In the transferware sleigh is WINTER , a simple snowman stitch.

In the corner is Winter Blues; it was a freebie in the early 2000's from Stitchy Kitty. I do not think it is still available.  I always get a lot of compliments on it. It was indeed a joy to stitch.

The small pin pillow below Winter Blues is one of the Lizzie Kate "Winter Smalls" stitches.

The 2nd shelf has a flurry of stitches as well.

Front and center is Snow Basket  , Prim Winter Blessings and Bucket of Winter which I will share later this year.

Winter Haul  and Let It Snow Sampler   are tucked in the corner .

Now let's see if there are more snowmen on the bottom shelf. I bet there is!

I left the Johanna Parker salt and pepper shaker out which was on the hutch during Christmas . I filled the vintage juicer with a snowman embroidered pillow and rag snowballs.

Prim Winter Tag  sits below Winter 1869 Crock which is nestled in a Fiestaware gravy boat.

The gravy boat is on a stack of white plates with Winter Tree Sampler below it.

Lots of little embroidered pillows are as snug as a bug in a rug in the bowls on the vintage scale.

I left the enamelware pan hanging on the side of the hutch and just added a bottle brush tree and...

With Thy Needle and Threads' " Candy Cane Wishes".

Well what do you think? Do you think I was able to fill every nook and cranny ? I sure did try. 😀😁😁

Have an awesome day and thank you for the sweet visit.

As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

  3. Love the look through your hutch. There were a couple of your charts I don’t have. 🤷🏼🤷🏼 how did that happen. I’ll take care of that. Today in NE Okla we are supposed to get snow. Yikes, this girl does NOT like snow. Nope, not unless it’s on a mountain far away yet I can still see it. Hope you are staying warm on your journey. Enjoy your day. 🩷🤗
