Blessed -IG Five Year Anniversary Chart - Freebie

Rain drops keep falling on my head...

Good Thursday morning, Sweet friends.

Yesterday I awoke to a beautiful rainy day. It was a gentle rain that only lasted a few hours , but it made the plants perk up with joy and shout "Yahoo!"

More rain is on the way as Hurricane Helene approaches and makes landfall. My prayers go out to all of those in Helene's path.

For the last 4 years, I have always shared a "Blessed " chart.

Sept 26, 2020 - 1 year IG Anniversary Post

Five years ago today, I took a big plunge for me and that was to get on social media. Oh boy, was I scared  to death, but with a few words of encouragement from my daughter, I posted a photo on Instagram.  I know this is not a big deal, but it sure was in my mind especially since I was not very tech savvy .

So I could not let this day go by without telling you how grateful I am to all of you. You are my sweet friends and a blessing in my life.

You brighten my day and lift my spirits. Your sweet visits , words of encouragement and support  means the world to me.  I do feel blessed.

Thank you!

Scrapberry Mission

I am on a mission! Good morning, Sweetie Pies . Welcome! Yep, I am on a mission to finish Scrapberries

It has been awhile since I have showed you my progress.

Three rows of berries are quilted  . Now on to the 4th row! Each little berry has a heart stitched in the center.

Do you think I will have it complete by the end of the year? I sure hope so.

The figs are tee tiny this year.  A tad bigger than a quarter.  I am sure that is due to the lack of rain.

Ever so often I will find a ripe one. The raccoons have been raiding the figs at night.

Look up at the trees!👀 There is muscadine vines weaving through the limbs.
Lots of muscadine vines are woven among the tree limbs.

Mmmm the muscadines are ripe too and are dropping to the ground.

With a little effort , I was able to gather a bowl full for an afternoon snack.

The gorgeous dish cloth was made by sweet Karen. I love it so.  The crock is a recent thrifting find from last week's trip

Well this is a short and sweet post isn't it? 😀😁🍓

Thank you for dropping by to see what's in the hoop.

Have a berry beautiful day and...

As always,

Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

A muddy heart rock on the river bank.
I found this at the river while with the nephews. A sign from my sis.

The little quilt heart was from my dear friend, Patricia. It always warms my heart.

I have made little progress on my No Name Sampler . This is a slow stitch that I am  designing as I go. Perhaps I will pick it back up this week.

I am joining these lovely ladies' link parties. I hope you check them out; they always have so many wonderful projects going on and provide the opportunity for other needleworkers to meet.

Fall in the holler and Squirrel Jar- A Fall Mason Jar Freebie

Days are quiet here in the holler come the first of Autumn.  It is still green, but the colors are  slowly fading to shades of brown mainly due to the heat which is still in the 90's.

Dinner Bell

It is dry as dust and though we have received a smidgen of rain in the last 30 days,  it has not made a lick of  difference.

The grandson is making a race track in the yard with his go-cart. He has been stirring up the dust.

Leaves are swirling and twirling softly to the ground .As we walk along the dirt pathways, you can hear the crunch of dried leaves.

Pinecones are tumbling  to the ground  and are awaiting to be picked for Fall and Christmas displays.

Walnuts are dropping like bombs from the trees.

I find myself often  competing with squirrels for the walnuts.

I pick them up and place them in buckets and use for a fall display. Later they will be used for dyeing fabric and Mr. Pinker will use them to dye traps.

The birds are enjoying the birdfeeders and bring delight to my ears when they sing a song of gratitude.

Meanwhile every now and then a squirrel makes it way to the feeder for a tasty treat for itself.

My flower gardens have dried and dwindled mainly because I was away on several camping trips over the summer and was not able to tend to them. But there are a few blooms to enjoy.

Autumn is indeed a blessing.

Alrighty now down to the nitty gritty! I think a fall stitch is in order.😀😉

Many of y'all know my love for that adorable pesky rodent- the squirrel. I know ! I know ! They can make a mess. They wreack havoc on birdfeeders and can be little nuisances especially if they get in the attic.

Oh , yes, I have shooed a few out of the house . Like Rocky the Flying Squirrel who decided it wanted to visit us in the den and stay perched along the curtain rods. We were running around like chickens with our heads cut off  trying to catch that little frisky critter. It was only when Mr. Pinker got a net out that Rocky stood up straight as an arrow, stuck out its tongue and pranced  out of the house as pretty as you  please. 😀😜😲 Wheew! That was a feat!

But in my eyes they are just as cute as can be.  Anywhoo , we have lots of gray squirrels in our neck of the woods. So I thought I would capture one in a jar.

This is my Squirrel Jar.  Filled with a squirrel, acorns and leaves.

I do think this quilted squirrel is a handsome fella . What do you think?

OOPS- CORRECTION: There is a mistake  at the bottom of the jar in row 66 column 45. It says "B" when the symbol should read "•" for 3371.  I do apologize.

Now I think this is one squirrel , I would keep as a pet.

If you missed any of the previous jars, just click on the names below, and you will magically be transported back to a previous post.

Autumn Jar Pinkeep , Winter  Jar , Sheep Jar , Bunny Jar  ,  Strawberry Jam Jar   , Patriotic Jar ,Honey Jar  ,   Sunflower Jar,  and Halloween Jar .

Well Sweeties, I guess I have chewed your ear off with all of this rambling. I am so very grateful that you spent just a few minutes of your day with me , strolling in the holler and looking at my stitch. Now if you decide to stitch the Squirrel Jar, don't forget the CORRECTION.

Have a lovely fall day and...

A Fall Tablescape

You want to see some clutter? LOL . You know I love my knick knacks. Well...

It's time to change the tablescape. Well at least make it look fallish!

Eeeh,!   I  decided to use the darling autumn tablerunner that my sweet friend , Cindy , made for me this past Christmas.  Isn't it so pretty? Thank you, Cindy.  I am so excited to add it to my table .

I like to layer my linens so I paired the tablerunner with an orange tablecloth and jade green runner and a lace runner. Wheeww that is a lot of runners, but I do enjoy the look of the layers.

Soon some of my green and jadeite pieces were layered on a tray along with loads of pumpkins.

My pumpkin Dollar Tree plates were included in the tablescape as well. .

In no time the table was set. We do not use this table . It is in a tight spot and is pushed against the wall, but I do love to have it set for the season.

Do you like to dress your table for the season?

As always,

Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all
