ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Brenda. It is a joy and blessing to be able to share these humble homes. I hope you had a great weekend. We finally got a bit of rain . Hugs.
DeleteThank you so much for posting this! I feel in love with all of your saltbox patterns (plus all the others!!) when I somehow stumbled upon your blog about a few months ago. I noticed your new saltbox on your homepage banner and inquired about how adorable it was - I have every pattern ready to stitch and am stitching by the month - I started with a couple in April and have done some May, June and three of the July saltbox houses. I am going to get ready to stitch this new saltbox next - I am stitching the Blueberry house right now! You are a very talented cross stitch designer that is just too generous with your patterns!! I sincerely do appreciate being able to stitch them and enjoy reading your blog each morning before I run off to sit with a grandkid or five - haha! I have two very active daughters with one back in college full time with 3 daughters - she has a CPA husband that travels quite often for work so I help hold down her house (laundry and all) while she is at school. My other daughter is a stay at home mother but her husband is a detective that gets called out at all hours and with two active sons she needs help often. Anyway, I did not mean to ramble but wanted to let you know that after years of being busy raising my daughters, working outside the home when they got older that I had lost some cross stitching time and your blog helped bring back the thrill of the stitch!! I am now stitching all the time and your patterns are so very wonderful to be able to do!! Thank you again for your kindness and generosity - Carrie
ReplyDeleteI am so touched and so very honored, Carrie. You made my day! I hope you enjoy this little stitch and am tickled to death that you like it. You are staying very busy and what a blessing to have 5 grandchildren. There is nothing like them. I just have the 2 , but I have the nephews that are like my own as well. The kiddos keep us busy don't they ? LOL. It warms my heart to hear that you got back into stitching. I had taken a break for almost 30 years before getting back into it myself. Now I want to stitch all the time. Lol. Enjoy each and every stitch that you work on and again thank you for the sweet visit to my humble blog, for stitching my designs and for bringing a big smile to my day. Hugs and Blessings.

DeleteThank you so much for posting this sweet Liberty House, and what a tribute to your amazing ancestor. I love to hear the story behind your stitchery. The post from Carrie touched my heart and echoes so many of my own thoughts. Sending many warm hugs from sunny hot Arizona to you and your wonderful family.
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, dear Mary. The stitches are even more meaningful to me when I create them in memory of my family. I think about all of the stories behind the stitch. Wasn't Carrie's message the sweetest. She brightened my day as you do as well. I always look forward to hearing from you. Hubby and I was looking at the temps in AZ today. We sure are missing being out there. It was 99 here yesterday and muggy. Finally we got a bit of rain come nightfall. Stay cool , sweet friend and Happy stitching . Hugs and Blessings.

ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much for asking. This is just a hobby for me and I just share the designs here on my blog. I am not very tech savvy so I have a tip page on printing the designs that my sweet friends have suggested. Unfortunately, I am not able to create downloads anymore because it would cost. Bummer. Thank you again for the sweet visit and kind compliment.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Lucinda's house with us. It's a beauty with so many great details. The bottom bunting is so classic. You must be a busy gal because I was just thinking we hadn't had a visit in a few days.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Ginny. It was a fun little house to work on . I have always had a "thing" for bunting which is probably one of my favorite motifs to stitch. I feel like I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off- yes busy , busy , busy and nothing to show for it. LOL. But that is how it is sometimes ; I guess it is that time of the year. Plus the grandbabes have been out so they keeping me on my toes. Have a wonderful week . Hugs and Blessings.
