Another Sunny Scrappy Day

I am knee deep in scraps!

Scraps galore!

Happy Wednesday ,y'all!

I just wanted to pop in and show you what is going on in the quilt room today.

Lots of 2" strips are being cut.

Those strips are being subcut into 3 1/2" strips. And then....

Made into happy colorful rows of 4.

Rows of 4  scrappy strips  measuring 3 1/2" x 6 1/2"

I will be pairing these strips later with yellow 6 1/2" squares, but for now there will be more "stripping." Hee! Hee!

Yes ,  a new quilt is in the works! Aaah why not add another to my every growing list! Might as well.

I think I will call it "Sunny Rails and Happy Trails."

And with the teeny strips  - well I am piecing them into crumb blocks.

Strippy crumb blocks in the works.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and thank you for the sweet visit!

As always,

Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

  14. I'm busy putting together 'kits' of various pre cuts (I've made from my scraps) & I'm waiting to see what you do next with the 4 piece parts and the yellow blocks. I'm thinking this might be another idea for a kit to have ready when I just want to sit down & sew. Can't wait to see where you go with this - and with the crumb blocks (I've also saved containers of those to be used later, too)! So far I have nearly 30 of the plastic shoe boxes full & ready to go with various blocks for each quilt. Thanks! Deb E

    1. Oh how fun Deb. I look forward to posting more about this quilt here soon. It would be a great quilt to kit up and work on. I have cut lots of strips and made great progress this week using them as a leader / ender. I hope to work on the next part to the block this week. Crumb blocks are always fun to work on. I am still debating on what to do with them. But it makes me happy to use up those little pieces. Have an awesome week. Hugs.

  15. First let me say that I enjoy your blog and am addicted to your cross stitch patterns. Going through past postings of your blog, I saw a stitch from 2021 called "The Marcher of the Flag". It is so cute and I would love for you to post the chart for it....please!

I have an affection for patriotic women. I will try to pull that one together for posting soon. Maybe this week if I can get the chance. Have a wonderful week and Happy stitching. Hugs.

  16. Love the cowboy and cowgirl pics. I have some embroidery patterns similar to them I want to start one day and make a table topper. I haven't been here in over a year because they quit sending me your blog posts. I had to sign on through FB to get to here. I hope they send them but I'm very doubtful. Not the most pleasant company to deal with-can't even reach out to them. I'm too old for this aggravation. I didn't want to go thru FB but I caved so I could get in here at least.

    1. Oh how interesting that you had to go through FB to get here. I am not very tech savvy and am not on FB so I am not sure how that works. You might try subscribing by email again. "Follow It" kicked me off of some of the blogs that I followed and I had to resubscribe. I am not sure why that happens, but I often have to check if I am not getting posts from blogs that I follow. Isn't technology so frustrating sometimes? I am so grateful that you dropped by for a sweet visit. You might just try going to Google and typing in Pinker n Punkin and it may show my blog to click on too. Have a blessed week. Hugs.
