Fluttering and Flittering Sunday and a Strawberry Stamp Freebie

Sunday Salutations, Sweet Friends! The week of May is in our rear view mirror and here it is the 2nd of June.  Wheww! This year is flying by isn't?

This week I shared my Scrapberry pattern . It is a little chunkier berry than what my original Scrapberry was.

I also posted June's Heart embroidery called " A Buzzy Garden".

Do you know what I will be quilting on today? You guessed it Scrapberries will be my Slow Sunday Stitch!  It is just too sweet for me to put downšŸ“šŸ“šŸ“šŸ“.

Two scrappy wonky berries are quilted.

Some of these fabrics are 30 years old.  Do you have any of these in your scrap bins?
I decided to echo  quilt around the berry and quilted a heart in the center of the scrapberry.

I just may sneak a few stitches in my Alabama Beauty as well. I have moved the hoop 1 time.

May I interest you in a Strawberry Quilt Stamp? šŸ¤—šŸ“ I loved stitching this stamp.

I will be FFOing Strawberry Quilt Stamp today.

UPDATE: June 3, 2024 I finished the stamp into a little pin pillow.

I have one more stamp to share this season which I will share next Sunday  that is if the sun shines and the creek don't rise.

I used the following DMC floss colors in this stamp:  DMC 498, 223, 782,  937, and  Blanc.

  5. Alabama Beauty is such a lovely piece--it's fun to visit all the different fabrics while hand quilting, isn't it?
That Daylily is such a gorgeous color--mine haven't bloomed as yet--still too chilly here...

Echo quilting around the strawberries is just perfect to set them off...nice works in progress!

    1. It is fun to visit all of the fabrics in Alabama Beauty. I try to imagine what the original quilter used the fabrics for- perhaps a dress , apron or a man's shirt. Thank you so much for the sweet Sunday visit, Julierose. I hope you had a great day stitching. Hugs.

  6. Your Scrapberries is very pretty, and I love the echo and heart quilting. I started to quilt only 20 years ago, so my stash is a little younger than yours ;) But yep, it's fun to use some of the oldest. Have fun with your week list, and enjoy your weekend camping trip!

  8. Love your crumb blocks. I wish I still had some of the fabric I had 30 years ago, specifically some I bought, loved, but never made into anything so I gave it away! Your bouquet sampler is so pretty. Enjoy your Sunday!

    1. I couldn't believe how old some of the fabrics were when I started looking at them. I am glad to have them in a quilt rather than the scrap bin. Oh, don't you just hate it when you have "fabric regrets" . I wish I had bought more of the country fabrics decades ago. Those are now some of my fabrics. Thank you for the sweet Sunday visit, Linda. Have and awesome week. Hugs.

  23. Hi Melisa! I don't have a June theme for my mantle, and since you generously made all of these strawberry stamps (and of course I will need to stitch the Strawberry House), I have decided on strawberries! :)

My question is, I have only ever finished my house pillows raw, if you will - with no trim. But I just LOVE the trim on the little strawberry stamp pillow on this post. What is that trim and where did you get it? And did you attach it to the pillow after you closed all the edges or was it sewn into the seams? I want to try something new for this theme.

We are heading to the lake this weekend and I am all kitted up with the charts of the stamps. I couldn't wait on the Strawberry House. I started stitching that on Monday. :)

Thank you as always for your generosity and creativeness!

    Amy
