On a Mission!

Howdy Do, Sweet Friends and a very Happy Sunday to you! It's Slow Sunday Stitching time. Time to relax to the rhythm of a needle and thread in hand. Do you have your project already picked out and ready to work on?

My needle will be rocking to the sweet melody of which ever birdies decide to visit my bird feeders.

A Sweet visitor to my garden

My plan is to continue working on "Darlene's Quilt" while sitting on the porch.

Can you tell this gal is on a mission to finish this quilt?  I sure am!

I drew out a cable design for the border.

Two more borders to go !  This will be my 15 minute a day project for the week.

Yee haw! I have  small  patriotic finish for the week!

I quilted hand drawn stars in the border. I still need to wash out the chalk that I drew them with.

I finished the embroidery work in  Block 1 of the SAY IT WITH FLOWERS QAL with Joy at Days Filled wit Joy. The designs are free for a month. So run don't walk if you want to join in.

Block 1 embroidery completed.

I will be working on Block 2 today.

Click the colored links to join Joy in all of the fun!   Thank you , Joy!

A little  bit of progress has been made on Jeannette Douglas Mini Bouquet Sampler.  I am working on the July Bouquet. I have hopes to add the blue and white flowers today.
Last week's stopping point - April 21, 2024

This week's progress.

The Pink House

Another house is in the works.

Lots of quilted bunnies are still sitting about .Yes, I still have a few Easter items that needs to be put away. 🐇🐰🐇 Now tell me who can resist a family of quilted bunnies? No, not I.

For the last few Sunday's , I have been sharing strawberry charts.

I would be honored if you would take a look at my newest stamp in my growing collection. It is called  called Berries Stamp.
It is a Choose your Own Colors Chart . So use as many or as few colors as you want. 🍓🍓

🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵

If you are interested in stitching this piece,  just grab , the images. For printing tips, refer to the post Tips for Printing which has loads of tips from my sweet friends.

🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵

Last week, I shared Strawberries and Cream Stamp ...
and in March, I shared Strawberry Shortcake Stamp

I have a lot of finishing to do. I will make these into pin pillows and add trim.
If you would like to grab these charts , just click on the colored text.

I have been brainstorming for more Strawberry Stamp ideas. If I could come up with 9 stamps, then I would make a larger design like I did for the Spring Stamp Collection

I sure would appreciate any help that you could give me.
Do you have any ideas for a strawberry themed stamp that would be great for the collection ?

Well I am off to enjoy some quilting time. The oldest grandson and nephew are in a fishing tournament. So I will have plenty of quiet time to quilt while I wait for them to return.

Remember take time for yourself! Love ya!

As Always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

  13. Thanks for sharing your day! And YAY! I have been hoping for a Summer sampler. I would love to send you a picture of my framed Spring and Autumn samplers. You asked for suggestions, so here goes: a bird enjoying a berry, a strawberry milkshake, a little girl or boy picking berries, “Berry Sweet”. Perhaps they might trigger your fertile imagination.

  14. Hmmm... strawberries in a bowl/basket- strawberry thief: a squirrel or bird taking a berry - strawberry ice cream - berries on the bush with blooms, too - strawberry pie - that's all that I can think of for now. I am sure your creativity will think of some good ones. What a beautiful apple pitcher. Spatter ware is a favorite of mine. Green is one I don't think I've seen before. Your thrift finds are again a Win!

Wishing you a lovely evening . Hugs and Blessings.
