🌻 Good morning dear Melisa 🌻
ReplyDeleteYour sunflower projects are absolutely beautiful! 😍 Thank you for sharing them, I thought I had seen them all, but there are a few new (to me) ones in your parade.
Sunflowers are such cheerful flowers, always adding sunshine to dreary days ☀️ My list of things to stitch is getting longer every time I come to your blog 😅
How do you come up with all your stitch patterns? Do you draw them on paper first?
I planted a ton of different kinds of sunflowers for my sister last year and the birds and squirrels dropped a bunch of seeds so this year my raised beds are full of sunflowers again and now they’re slowly starting to bloom and bringing me so much joy every day when I walk through my garden 🥰
Have a blessed day Melisa! Thank you for all you do! 🤗

Hello again Melisa,
DeleteI noticed that the link to the mini sunflower sampler is broken in a few of your parade posts...but I found the actual post with the pattern: https://pinkernpunkinquilting.blogspot.com/2023/07/bees-butterflies-and-mini-sunflower.html In case others are trying to get to it too. 😊
Thank you, Alex in Maine. It was the only one I didn't have and I love Melisa's Mini Samplers. I, also love sunflowers and here in Arizona they attract Rosy Checked Lovebirds. They resemble small parrots, very colorful and sweetly noisy!
Delete@ Mary oh wow I didn't know there were wild love birds in the US, I only know them as pets 😄 So cute! I just watched a bumblebee enjoying one of my sunflowers 🌻 🥰 Enjoy your day and happy stitching!
DeleteOh thank you so much for letting me know about the link Alex. I will go back and fix that one ; it must have got away from me. LOL. Oh I bet your sunflower garden is just beautiful as each sunny flower begins to bloom. I just know that your garden gives you peace and comfort. I tried to plant some sunflowers for my sis at her house this year and they were doing good until I left for vacation. When I returned the deer had at them. LOL. My sis would have liked that though. She loved wildlife. As far as my designs. Some come easy some not so easy. I have oodles of drawing that I create in my notebooks and some make it into charts eventually. I wish you the most wonderful day. Hugs.
DeleteI love a parade and your sunflower designs - I have stitched several, but I can see I need to get busy. Sunflower Saturday is going on my stitching schedule. Have a great day. Alicia
ReplyDeleteOooh a Sunflower Saturday. That is a good idea Alicia. I think I will have to join in on that . Thank you for the sweet visit and Happy stitching. Hugs.
DeleteYour sunflowers are fun, and I love your other designs too. What a pretty collection of beautifully stitched treasures, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteAah thank you so much, Linda. I have always had an affection for sunflowers. Now if I could only grow them. LOL. Warm hugs and Blessings.

ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Julie rose. They have been a joy to stitch. I hope to add more soon. Do stay as cool as possible. Those dog days of summer are fast approaching. Hugs.
DeleteHappy, happy Thursday, dear lady!!! What a wonderful and fun parade! There is no doubt in my mind that one or more of those cuties will end up in my hoop. I was in bed fairly early last night and then wide-awake way too early. ACK!! Have a wonderful day! Big Hugs, DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteAaw I am so honored that you may add one of these sunny stitches to your summer stitching, dear Darlene. I hope you enjoy whichever one you chose. I do hope you were able to get some rest. I am like you - Eeek on an early morning. Hee! Hee! Big Hugs.
DeleteI think there are never enough sunflower decorations in a house.

Sunflowers are one of my all time favorites, Isabel. I try to grow them , but have little success on that end though. LOL. Warm Hugs.
DeleteI'm so excited that it's sunflower season! You know they are my favorite flowers, and I love stitching them, too. I'm just getting ready to finish my August heart to display next month. Maybe I need to start a new project just to celebrate! Thanks for sharing all your sweet designs, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteOh I am just like you, Diann. I adore stitching sunflowers.I cannot wait to see your August heart. I know it will be adorable. Happy Sunflower stitching. Hugs.
Deletegood morning lovely Melisa.
ReplyDeleteit's going to be a sunflower sunshiny day. i love sunflowers. they are always so happy and bright. so colorful.
well you are definitely keeping me busy. i had to print a few stitcheries today. when will i ever find the time? i think i am basically just a collector of patterns because i really haven't started anything. a friend of mine does so many of your houses and they are always more beautiful stitched then what the pattern actually looks like. keep them coming Melisa i have purchased plenty of file folders. ;o)
i hope your day is a gorgeous one. any relief from the heat yet? we are still in the high 80's and i don't like it. i don't know how i'll ever survive in the 100+ heat that is coming our way in the august-october timeframe. not looking forward to it.
have a safe and productive day. be sure to get the zucchini that are hiding under the leaves and growing to over 12" long. i used to have zucchini plants and couldn't wait to get the "giants" because then it was meatloaf makin' time.
blessings and love are coming your way beautiful Melisa.
hugs.

Oh Miss Debra there is nothing wrong with collecting patterns. I do the same thing. I cannot tell you how many quilt books and crossstitch magazines and patterns I have and I love just looking at them . I do want to quilt and stitch everything. I just need more hours in the day don't you? LOL. Well we had a few days of rain this week she brought the temps. down but made it muggy and hot by the end of the week. It is supposed to be in the high 90's this next week. Oh I am looking for those big zucchinis. Hee! Hee! A zucchini meatloaf would be delightful. Love and Hugs.
DeleteWhat a wonderful, cheery parade today :) It's funny, but I was just pulling my sunflower/bee/crow pieces out to use in my August display this morning! Hard to believe we only have a week left in July... ♥
ReplyDeleteOh how fun, Carol. That is what my plans for the weekend are. I am glad you reminded me about the crows. I do love them too. July has flew by hasn't it. Have a fun time decorating. Hugs.
DeleteWhat a lovely sunny parade, Melisa! We're just trying to stay cool. Our kiddos go to the sunflower field each year and bring home buckets of them. So pretty! Have a great day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun, Brenda. I wish we had a sunflower farm near here. I planted some sunflowers this year which were doing good, but as soon as we left on our camping trip, the deer moved in and took care of them.LOL. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteDo you have all your stamp patterns and house patterns in one place? I would love to use these as the centers of a log cabin quilt. They are beautiful and being a smile to my face!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
Delete-Alex
Oh that is a wonderful idea and what a darling quilt that would make. I will have to do a stamp parade. I haven't got them in one place yet, but I will work on that and perhaps have it be this upcoming week. They are some of my favorites to stitch and share. Thank you for the sweet visit and idea. Hugs.
DeleteSunflowers are such tall, strong flowers, with such happy faces. You have a wonderful collection of stitched sunflower pieces.
ReplyDeleteThey are magnificent blooms aren't they, Jenny. Thank you for the sweet visit. I wish you the most lovely day. Hugs.
DeleteThank you for this beautiful, sunny parade. So many really lovely stitches. Here's a piece of trivia for you - during the sunflower's early blooming time their faces follow the sun east to west through the day. They truly are a "Sun" flower. I hope you and Mr. P are enjoying an evening with some ice cold sweet tea
ReplyDeleteWell how interesting is that, Ginny. I love little tid bits like that. I am going to notice that when I see some of the sunflowers blooming as I go to town. Thank you for the sweet sunny visit. Hugs.
DeleteSo many lovely patterns. Really love the 'ol crow saltbox.
ReplyDeleteAaaw thank you so much, Tammy. I really enjoyed stitching the ole Crow Saltbox. I need to stitch another crow related Saltbox soon. crows are one of my favorite birds. Warm Hugs.
DeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteAaaw thank you so much dear. I so appreciate the sweet visit. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteSunflowers work for both summer and fall. You've made the best use of them with those themes in your stitcheries.
