Bees, Jacks and Tiny Stitches

Happy Tiny Tuesday! 😀 Hello Sweet Peas. How are you doing on this fine summer's day?

I bet you are wondering what is up with "Tiny Tuesday" . Well a few years ago my sweet friend, Christina on IG ( Hi Christina!) started stitching tiny pieces on a certain day. So that is what I have been doing ever since then. It is part of my stitching rotation.   The rotation for me might be to just spend 15- 30 minutes on a project and then move to my "focus" piece. Of course, I am not a stickler to my rotation often I fly by the seat of my pants. 👖👖

It is "Bee Stitching" time for me. And... a new stitch is in the works... - The Apiary Garden. I am stitching it on 14 count Rit  charcoal gray dyed  fabric.

A start on Apiary Garden .

Have you seen the darling  Miss Bee freebie from The Little Stitcher? It is a cutie patootie! I will be working on it today too.

The wings are being stitched in Miss Bee from The Little Stitcher.

And... Have you seen these at Walmart? Mom gifted me this the other day. She knew my love for watermelons , pumpkins and Halloween. I had to laugh. I would have never thought of a watermelon Jack-o-lantern. Would you?  Cute as can be though.

Speaking of Halloween, I pulled out With Thy Needle and Thread's "Boo To You!" last Wednesday.  I slowly worked on her dress. There are some rough stitches in there- I have to admit sometimes my eyes fail on me. LOL. But I am plugging right along.  This is my Witchy Wednesday stitch.
Sorry for the blurry photo.

So tell me. Are you working on a teeny stitch right now? And do you have a rotation or do you fly by the seat of your pants?

Have a beeautiful day!
Now remember to do something that you love.

Oh, and if you have a chance stop back by tomorrow. I will show you snippets from my garden and there just may be a new house stitch .🏡 ❤

As Always,

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

  1. I love Tiny Tuesday and look forward to all your projects! Over the years I've considered doing a rotation. It doesn't take long to become a fleeting thought. LOL I'm a 'fly by the seat of my pants" kind of girl. ROFLOL I'm going to sit on the sidelines and cheer you on. Go Melisa Go!!!

I am grateful for all of the cheering on I can get especially when FFOing some of my pieces. Sometimes I am as slow as molasses. Have a bee-autiful day! Big ole' hugs.

    1. Oh I am so excited that you finished Halloween House Gabi. I hope you enjoyed every stitch. Halloween will be here before we know it. I do need to begin working on more Halloween and fall stuff myself. I hope it is not too hot when you go out to the garden. Have a very lovely day. Hugs.

  3. Right now, my embroidery is on standby.
It's too hot, and all I can think about is my vacation...hahaha.
However, I need to finish some stitches for July 30th when I'm participating in a challenge.
I like your organization, Melisa! : it allows you to embroider several things at the same time without getting bored and to progress through the projects little by little.

    1. Happy Tuesday, Isabel. Oh how exciting to be getting ready for your vacation! That would be on my mind as well. I hope that you have a wonderful relaxing time with many adventures as well. I am sure you will get all of the stitching that you need to have completed before your deadline. I am cheering you on. Stay cool , sweet friend. Hugs.

  4. The watermelon looks so cute, what an original idea! Your counted cross stitching looks so nice. I always think the stitches look so tiny, it would make my eyes tired to stitch those. That's why I applique in the evening, my eyes get tired and that's what I need before I go to bed. Happy stitching!
