Winter Stamp SAL - Bonus Stamp A Corncob Pipe

I do not think I have ever met a snowman that I did not like!

Good morning, sweet peas. It is time for the last stamp in the Winter Stamp SAL.   It is called " A Corncob Pipe. "

And of course ,this jolly snowman has a corncob pipe tucked tightly in his mouth.  Now how cute is he?

I did make some changes that are not charted. I added green polka dots to the scarf using DMC 3346 and used DMC 646 to back stitch some smoke.

This stamp was inspired by a previous doodle that I shared in 2024.

Sunbaked and Hearts

Sundried and Sunbaked!

Good morning and a lovely day to you!

Yep, this little box is sundried and sunbaked. It just looked so lost and forlorn sitting on a vendor's dusty table underneath the warm sun in the desert. I could just not leave it behind for just $1.00.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜€

I know! I know! It has seen better days. But wait till you see what is inside. Eeeeh!๐Ÿ˜❤

Thumpity! Thump!๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’— Be still my beating heart!  A vintage red Electic Kraemer Little Modiste toy sewing machine which was made in Japan.

And the best of all ! It works! ๐Ÿ˜€ So who cares if the box is a little beaten. Hee! Hee!

It came with the instruction manual , a piece of vintage pink gingham fabric and the sewing needles.

Now tell me. Could I leave that little jewel behind? Hee! Hee! No not this gal!  I will clean it up once I return home. But I tell you - I was doing the happy dance all the way back to the camper! Hee! Hee!

As many of y'all know I love to look for "hearts " in nature- whether they be heart shaped leaves or rocks. This trip has been no exception on finding sweet heart shaped signs.

As I explore my surroundings , every now and then I will find a wee heart rock. The small ones I pick up to put in a jar. I always look for signs from my sweet sis.

Another heart rock. Oooh and it is white!!! This is a favorite!

Four more pink hearts appliqued for the RSC heart quilt.

Speaking of hearts, I cut out a couple of heart shaped templates to use on my 4 patch quilt that I will be working on today.

The vintage sewing needle book is a thrifty find I purchased recently .

I will either quilt a heart in the white 4 " squares or I may applique a heart.  This is an after thought after starting the quilting. LOL.

Now onto the plans for the week.

Piecing Pretty Pinks

Hello, Sunshine and welcome from the vast wide yonder. Two posts in a day?  Aaah why not!
Happy Friday, y'all ! Are you ready for a fantastic weekend? I sure am. I have not made any concrete  plans yet, but I am sure I can find something to get into. ๐Ÿ˜€

The other day Mr. Pinker and I went hiking. Do you see our side by side in the photo below? Maybe not for it is a teeny tiny spot. On that particular day, I had a burst of energy and walked the ridge almost to the top of a mountain.

Oh bother, there was dust on debris on the camera lens. I am sorry about that. It was a blustery day. ๐ŸŒฌ๐ŸŒฌ๐ŸŒฌ
The orange stake is a mining claim maker.

I have been on a mission to find a perfect saguaro in our camping area. They have been few and far between in my neck of the desert, but I did find this magnificent one.

And the base was just perfect to use as a design wall, Hee! Hee.  Earlier at camp, I pieced four pretty in pink blocks for Angela's Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

Most of the saguaros here look like this poor fella. Windblown, chewed on and holey.  Hmm, what tales this cactus could tell if it could only speak. ๐Ÿœ๐ŸŒต๐ŸŒต๐ŸŒต

Anywhoo, The center square in my block is 6" finished and is framed with 3" finished squares. I was going to call this quilt "Here We Go Again", but I am thinking of adding some applique to the center. If so, I will change the name. We shall see.

Being in this dry environment has my skin feeling as dry as a lizard.  The other day, I spotted the Dove  body scrub  with pomegranate and Shea butter  in the grocery store. I have never tried it before . Have you? I must say it smells heavenly, and look -- it is in a little pink container- just perfect for PINK FRIDAY.

I am still plugging away on Lori Holt's "Home for the Holiday Sampler, which was a sweet gift from my dear friend, Joan. Hi, Joan!  I am loving this sampler. ๐Ÿ˜˜ Thank you!

I am stitching it on 14 count coffee/ tea dyed Aida. Right now I am focused on stitching the red letters.

Well Sweeties, I hope I have not chatted your ears off. I guess I better run. Have a pinkalicious day and I hope it is filled with adventures and mischief. Love ya!

We have seen a lot of Gambel's quail this trip. They are as cute as a button!. Look at this little fella!
