Rise and Shine, Sunshine! Another glorious day awaits us!
What do you have on the agenda today? Perhaps some sloooow stitching!? ? Grab your needle and thread ! I sure could use some help on "Alabama Beauty". I am as slow as molasses on quilting this beauty.
As they say though- "Every stitch counts!"
Aren't the old fabrics just yummy?!
Summer Checklist which I shared earlier this summer is nearing a finish. I will add a running stitch in brown floss 1/4 " from the border.
Excuse me a minute while I do the happy dance ! YEEEHAW!
I stitched at lat 15 minutes everyday this week, and a few stitches have made their way out of the "Basket of Waiting to Be Finished" and onto the finishing table!!!! Yahoo!
The first is "Q" from " Stitcher's Alphabet" by Brookes Book Publishing. It is a freebie that I stitched in 2020.
"Berries" is another finish that I made into a pillow. It was one of mine that I was not satisfied with , but I did want to finish it.

DeleteYour Alabama Beauty is lovely. I'd be happy to help you stitch on it but it's not something you'd like. My grandmother enjoyed hand quilting but I never had her teach me. She taught me to sew and hand embroidery, but we missed time for hand quilting. Yours is beautiful, Melisa. Darlene J

DeleteYou have a busy week planned. Who does the cooking while you stitch ;-) or is your slow cooker going? LOL. I worked on repairing a quilt - some grand daughters stuck their feet through little holes which became big holes. Sigh. The quilt is about 20 years old and is well loved. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good week, Donna; I am surprised by how much I completed. I am one lucky gal that hubby likes to cook when I am busy. If he cooks , he usually makes enough to last a 2-3 days. LOL. Those little precious footsies could not resist the holes in the quilt could they? Bless their hearts. I hope you were able to mend the quilt with no problems. DeleteAlways so great to see your multitude of projects to get me motivated! I love the potato chip blocks. I need to get some more kits ready for our guilds 5th Wednesday workday coming up the end of the month. I made 4 last month and they were all taken and brought back as tops.

She has some cute stitches. Your Q stitch block is very pretty! The Mini Bouquet Sampler is just getting more and more beautiful! The Potato Chips will just grow and grow. They really are addictive. The geese reminded me of the slough at the farm. We had nesting families every summer. Do you have goslings, too?

There are so many that I want to stitch. Isn't the alphabet the cutest? These geese were at the river, but not on our farm. They are all over the place at the river.
