County Clare Monday

Hip Hip Hooray! I have a new start and it is celebrating Red , White and Blue!

Good morning, Sweet Peas and Happy Monday. How was your weekend? I hope just as delightful as mine.

Now onto my new start.😀

Diann at Little Penguin Quilts has been piecing away on Bonnie Hunter's County Clare  Blocks  .

After seeing Diann's blocks, I just had to jump on the wagon. After searching my quilt room high and low for lots of green scraps which I just had a few, I decided that I would just piece the blocks in my favorite colors- reds, whites and blues!

I may rename my quilt as I work on it- we shall see.

If you missed Bonnie's instructions, she gives the measurements on her blog Quiltville   which she posted in her  July 6, 2024 post  ; this is her leader /ender project and will be mine as well along with my Scrappy Flag blocks.

Alrighty , that's what I will be working on today. Scrappy Flags and County Clare blocks. I will share my progress on the Flag blocks later.

As always,

Happy Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

  20. Your colorway for the L&E challenge this year looks great and what a beautiful quilt it is going to make! Bonnie has a real talent for coming up with simple blocks for her L&E that finish in amazing quilts. We are finally getting a break from the heat and temps are much more normal and pleasant right now. We even had a little rain last evening. Hope you had a good weekend.

    1. Happy Tuesday, Ginny. I am enjoying piecing County Claire. I cut some more fabrics last night and hope to finish piecing at least 5 more blocks. Bonnie is a talent; I wish I had her energy. LOL. I am so glad that you received a spot of rain and are getting a break from the heat. Hopefully, the milder temps will last. I expect August will be hotter here than July was but we shall see. Have a wonderful day and hope you get to spend time in the quilt room. Hugs.
