Do you see the beautiful finches? They are loving the thistles.

  2. Thank you for the tour - being a suburb kind of gal, I enjoy these tours. Maybe I'm not too old to get a least a little land one day! Until then, I'll live vicariously through you! Blessings.

Hay bales in a row, I can almost smell them in the air. Have a wonderful rest of your day, hoping the dentist is a good news visit. Warm hugs from sunny Arizona.

  10. Too hot to do anything other than quilt! Found a box of things I started in the 80's. Not old enough to be "treasures", but I'll fix 'em up and send them on their way to the humane society. LOVE the animal pictures! What pretty faces on the cows! But (city girl here) what is that fancy fan thingie? Thanks so much for the pics!

  13. OMGoodness! I have never seen thistles left intentionally for bird food but those are sooo pretty and if they bring in such colorful beauties as those finches, I understand why you do it! I think haying rakes are cool yard art. I know, that sounds weird but I have always thought they were cool looking. Thanks for the little glimpse into your world, Melisa.

  16. I came to your blog today to get some more of your beautiful Christmas patterns to stitch. I had to log in and leave a comment here because your pictures you shared are just so stunning! I love the one of the gold finches and thistle. Growing up we filled a feeder with thistle seed and during the summer there would just be dozens of them gathered around and they would devour the seed so quickly. It was a sight to see! Beautiful birds. I hope your dental appointment went smoothly. Thank you for all you share :-)
