Wordless Wednesday- Quilts in the Wild

Good morning, ya'll and a very Happy Wednesday to you. It has been a few weeks since I posted a "not so Wordless Wednesday" post. This week's post is of quilts photographed outdoors. Hope you enjoy.

This little quilt was made from  a cross stitch freebie from Notforgotten Farms called Top Hat Jack .

The quilt is made from old shirts. I appliqued the cross stitch on the burnt red fabric and used 2 strands of brown floss to make large x's along the edges.

I ripped green and black shirtings and appliqued them with primitive stitches and added some big thrifted buttons.  Along the edges of the quilt I added a running stitch with 2 strands of brown floss.

Thank you for the sweet visit . Have a beautiful day and as always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

Families are like quilts- Lives pieced together, stitched with smiles and tears, colored with memories and bound with love.

Hugs and Stitches!!!!🤗🧵❤

Dedicated to my baby sister, Amy. Love and miss you, Amo.

  1. Have a wonderful day! Here we seem to have a lovely spring day with sun shining this morning and the cold air seems gone but still a bit of a chill. I am busy stitching your Spring Green Saltbox. Thanks for sharing your wonderful designs for free. Our South African exchange rate is just aweful and it is too expensive to buy overseas. Exchange rate is around R20 to the dollar. Anyway thanks once again for sharing for free.

It ranks in the top of my favorites that I have stitched. I have seen it stitched up in many colors as well which warms my heart. You are so very welcome, Susan .It has been a joy to create and share these humble designs. Your kind words mean so much to me and bring me great encouragement. 9. I do love to see outdoor quilts being shown in various settings, thank you. I really like the Top Hat Jack! Have yourself a sweet day and enjoy whatever you decide to stitch! Hugs from sunny Arizona. We almost blew away on Monday afternoon, 55mile an hour winds here! My neighbor lost a beautiful saguro with 8 arms and also a tree, his front yard will be different for sure. Everthing survived in my yard, thankfully.

    1. Oh my, Mary what a blustery day that was. I am glad you and your neighbor are safe . I am sure the saguaro was very old and a heartbreaking loss. I always feel sad when I loose one of my trees in the yard- that's for sure. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
