Basket Case Monday

A very Marvelous Monday to you! Lol I am not a basket case today,๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜ฒ but I am working on baskets.
With rain on the way, it is a good day to sit and enjoy a bit of binding on a small quilt.

Last year, I pieced this wee yellow basket quilt. These fabrics are as cheerful as a lark. Don't you think so?

After working on the binding, I will begin a new basket quilt.
I have pieced 4 colorful nine patches.
These nine patches measure 6 1/2"unfinished.

I then pieced the small quilt together.
Oooh! This quilt needs a good pressing.

Now I will applique the basket, but first I need to find fabric for the baskets. Hmmm . What color should they be? ๐Ÿค”
I am still deciding on the border too.

Now onto the plans for the week.

THIS WEEK'S GOALS

๐ŸŒž1. Quilt a block in the Summer Days Quilt

๐ŸŒž2. Quilt on the Easter Quilt

๐ŸŒž3. Work on a new crock cross stitch

๐ŸŒž4.Finish new salt box cross stitch

๐ŸŒž5. Begin nine patch quilt

๐ŸŒž6. Work on the basket quilt.

So Sweetie Pies, What are you working on today?

I hope you enjoy every minute of whatever task you have at hand.

As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

  6. You made me smile, with the "basket case" comments!! That is me lately, too much that I want to do and want to finish and not enough hours to do .....I do this to myself all the time. Love your basket quilt and the new base is such a cherry background. Enjoy your day and all will fall into place, just as it always does when we let it happen naturally. Summer is here in Arizona, yeah. Very warm hugs from sunny Arizona to my sweet friend.

    1. Lol, we work ourselves into a frazzle about wanting to get a lot done, don't we, Mary? I think we need more hours in the day. Thank you so much about my little quilt; these fabrics make my heart sing. I hope it is not getting too hot in your neck of the woods. The news was talking about a heat dome in the southwest and I thought of you. Stay cool, my sweet friend. Hugs.

    1. Oh, Darlene. I am so glad that you have been having a very productive week so far. I have been distracted by household and gardening chores and have not had much stitching fun well not as much as I want at least. Lol. Thank you so much for the sweet Father's Day wishes. Hubby and all the dad's in my family had a great weekend. We had a fish fry and they enjoyed every minute of it. Have an awesome week, Darlene. Hugs.

  8. I was experimenting with foundation paper piecing. It is not a favorite technique, but I found Brenda at Conquering Mount Scrapmore YouTube has a method I might be able to enjoy, once I can do it well enough that it doesn't take all afternoon to do one block! I loved your yellow baskets, and look forward to seeing the new ones.

    1. Oh I am so excited to hear that you are working on Candy Corn house, Arlene. Thank you so much for stitching it. I bet you will have it completed in no time. Lol you will have to wait for a few months for candy corn unless you have a stash of it. Hmmm some online stores might sell it though. Lol. Have a great time with your sweet friends. I am sure you will come back inspired . Hugs.

  11. Your Summer Days quilt is so pretty and, since it looks like the 9-Patch quilt is using similar colored fabrics, the 9-Patch quilt is going to be a winner too. Keep on stitchin', Melisa. Your projects are so cheerful and who couldn't use a spot of happiness??!!
