It's Done!!!

 It's done! It's done! It's really done!

Happy Friday, ya'll! ๐Ÿค—

I finished quilting my "Grandma's Love" quilt!

Mr. Pinker bought me this quilt top last year for my birthday along with another quilt top. This is the 1st to be quilted.  It is hand pieced and appliqued. It just took a little over 3 months to quilt it. Woo Hoo! Doing the happy dance. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Do you know what this pattern is called? I sure would love to know.

I quilted 1/4" around the blocks. Do you see the heart that formed in the reds? That is why I called it Grandma's Love.

Oh lookie  here! Here come the gals - coming to see my quilt. ๐Ÿ„

๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„

Or maybe they just see that I have  my camera.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I have told you how a few of them are divas and love to have their photos taken. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿค
Of course they are cuties if I do say so.

I love seeing a quilt flap in the wind.

Don't you think this looks like a great patriotic quilt too in all its scrappy glory?

Ooops, I got a little snap happy with my camera.
Thank you for taking the time to drop by to see my latest finish. I am working my fingers to the bone on 2 other quilts. I hope to show some progress on Sunday.
Have an awesome weekend, my friends.

Love ya' till the cows come home!!!!

As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

Intense love does not measure. It just gives. - Mother Teresa

Dedicated to my dear sister, Amy. I love and miss you so much.

P. S.  Pam at Heartspun Quilts has her free Summer Blues Quilt Archaeology pattern available , but only through Sunday June 25th. So hop over and get the pattern.  It is as cute as a button. I will be pulling fabric today.

I am joining these lovely ladies' link parties. I hope you check them out; they always have so many wonderful projects going on and provide the opportunity for other needleworkers to meet.

  2. Melisa, it's beautiful and I love what you named it. I snickered and giggled at your commentary about the cows. My grandparents had a ranch in south Texas and my grandmother loved her cows and they all had names. When I'd go visit she'd said "I haven't seen Belle in a couple of days. Would you borrow your grandfather's truck and take me to look for her". As we drove along at turtle speed so she wouldn't miss anything she'd practically hang out the window identifying every cow until she'd spot Belle. And, she loved her chickens, as well. Ahhhh the memories! I hope you don't mind that I shared.

    1. Oh, Darlene those are the sweetest heartwarming memories. I can just imagine ya'll truckin' through the pastures looking for all of the gals. I can certainly understand having a soft spot for certain ones too. The bovines all have their own personality. We have one named Molly that loves to eat pears. Lol. Those were the good ole' days weren't they? Times with grandparents are always a treasure. Thank you for brightening my day . Hugs.

  11. I really love this quilt but couldn't find the name of the pattern. I even used Google Lens but that didn't work either. I guess it's likely that the pattern was created by the original owner of the quilt top. So glad you got it and finished it. What a treasure!
