Porch Stitching Sunday

It is a beautiful day ,my friends. Come on out and join me on the porch for some Slow Sunday Porch Stitching
I have been trying to spiffy  the  porch  up for the spring season- scrubbing the rails and such.
๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ
It's back!!!! Yep ! The quilt that will not go away- Lol It's the Easter Quilt that I have been working on for a few years now. I was bound and determined to finish the quilting last year, but alas that did not happen. ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ™„  I will add a few more stitches in it today.

One more St. Patrick's Day finish before the big day. This  is "Clover" a darling freebie from Vickie at A Stitcher's Story

Thank you so much , dear Vickie. I used leftover floss from another project which included DMC 937 & 895( two of my favorite greens).

I finished the Winter SAL embroidery which was a freebie  by Joy at Days filled with Joy. I will be making this into a small quilted wall hanging in the future.

It has been such a delight to work on each of Joy's seasonal SAL's.

Sorry for the wrinkles. These pieces do need a good pressing. Don't they?

Time to make my To Do List for the week!

  3. You certainly do have some lofty goals this week. Goodness, you are a busy lady! I want to sit on that porch swing and add a few quilting stitches to your gorgeous Easter quilt.....only with your permission, if course. =) How lovely it all looks with the sunshine beaming upon everything. The perfect spot me thinks, for a little slow Sunday stitching. Enjoy!

  11. I was reading some of your past blog posts, Melisa, and I'd say you have made good progress on your Easter quilt. Slow and steady...right? Of course, traveling back in time with you, I've seen more projects to stitch! Oh the temptations! I might have to try some of those embroidered quilt blocks, and the Autumn SAL that was mentioned on Jo Kramer's blog and sent me to your site. Thank you for your generosity and sharing your designs with us. Always something to look forward to! But for now, back to the spring stamp of the bluebird....Kris

I think because I will miss it, but I do know there is always another waiting in the hoop. Lol. I am so touched that you have been reading my previous posts and I have tempted you. I hope you enjoy the little spring stamp. Hugs.

  20. So many things that make me simply smile. Your Easter quilt is beautiful. My goodness your quilting stitches are incredible. My biggest regret in my needle and thread world is that I didn't learn how to hand quilt from my grandmother. She was a wonder with a needle, thread and her treadle sewing machine. One day - big sigh!

    1. Aaah thank you, Darlene. What fond memories you have of your dear grandmother at her treadle. Did she show you how to sew on a treadle? I bet you would have no problem whatsoever with hand quilting. I am self taught and quilt a little different than other hand quilters, but I do enjoy it so.
