Round and Round We Go

The  last Saturday of the month!  How did this happen so soon? Goodness , how January has flown by! Don't you think?

Happy Saturday, ya'll and welcome.  I am awful late posting today . The grandbabies finished out the basketball season today and of course, Mr. Pinker and I went to enjoy their games.  In few short months baseball season will begin.

I have been going around around with lots of scraps and bits of blues this week, but today I only wanted to share one thing- a small quilt.

Joy at The Joyful Quilter is hosting her monthly Tablescraps Challenge. This month we were to try to use scraps and incorporate the color blue and somehow use the letters "R" , "C" or "J". I think my  "Roly Poly Snowmen" fits the bill  .

I used the letters "R" and "C" - Round snowmen with carrot noses.

My snowmen are made of 6 inch wonky Snowball blocks. I used scraps from the scrap bin and 1 snowman fat quarter for the border.

This is a short  and sweet post.  I am so grateful you popped in for a visit.
Have an fabulous afternoon, yall and ...

 As Always...

Happy quilting and stitching, ya'll

Melisa

  9. Love your snowmen plus blue is my favorite color!! so I especially enjoyed seeing your pretty dishes and snowflake ornament in your first picture. Would you happen to know where I could find that snowflake pattern? I don't cross stitch much anymore (sore hands) but I feel like I could stitch one like that.
Enjoy your Sunday! It's a bit dreary in my corner of Ohio today so (as always) your blog post cheered my right up!

    1. Good evening, Maureen. Thank you for the sweetest compliment. You brightened my evening. The little snowflake was a gift to me years ago and I do not know who the designer is, but I think it would be a fun stitch. If I find out who designed it or where to find it I will certainly post it. Have a wonderful rest of the week, dear. Hugs.

  13. Your roly poly snowmen are so cute Melisa! Blue is my favorite color. I was thinking of you yesterday as I run down to the dollar tree and spotted a lot of valentine and easter treasures. I think I may have to go again soon as I couldn't decide on a couple or more things to bring with me and now I regret it, hehe!
    Have a lovely Sunday!

  23. I was feeling some of the winter blues this week so when I watched Kristy of Daisy Fay Primitives on Floss Tube,,,,I had my answer. Stitch one of Melisa's sweet saltbox houses. I decided to stitch the same one as Kristy....Winter Saltbox. I got out my big Pinker bag.( I am sure everyone has one!!) and I started looking for something springy. I had done most of the spring saltboxes but I never got around to the Strawberry Saltbox. So that is next on my list. I do keep all of your designs in a separate bag along with scraps of fabric and a bag full of threads of different colors. It makes it so easy to pick up a chart and just start stitching. Thanks again for your generosity Melisa. It is much appreciated.
