Farmhouse Sampler - A Farmhouse Freebie

It is a beautiful Farmhouse Friday. What's Farmhouse Friday? Well, this year my friend, Joan and I are working on farmhouse stitching on Fridays . Doesn't that sound like a lot of fun?  You certainly can join us. Just choose any favorite farmhouse stitch you are interested in working on and let those nimble fingers stitch up a storm. 🧵

Earlier this  week, I showed you my progress on my Farmhouse Sampler.

Eeeeh! It is done!!!!!! Can I tell you that I love it?  The simplicity of it makes my heart sing!

Let me tell you a little bit about it.

When Mr. Pinker and I are out and about, I am always looking at houses. I like to see how additions are added, the landscape and the colors of the homes and trims.  Well on one of our adventures, I spotted a white house with a green roof  and red trim ;   my mind started swirling with ideas.

I used 7 DMC floss colors which included : Blanc , 712, 3781, 934, 898, 3857, and 642.  The house looks like one color but I stitched rows using blanc and 712. You could certainly stitch  it in one color, and it would look perfectly lovely.  The roof is a dark avocado green which is DMC 934 and the door is 642.

I stitched mine on 14 count tea/coffee dyed aida. It measures  4 3/8" x 7 1/8" on 14 count. With those measurements , I just was able to squeeze it into a $.99 thrifted frame. Ya'll who have followed me for awhile know that I am Mrs. Cheapskate, and though my border is slightly cut off by the frame, I am willing to make do.

Well there you have it ! My 1st Farmhouse Friday Finish for 2023!!! I am doing a happy hoedown over this one.

If you are interested in stitching Farmhouse Sampler ,grab the images below. Many of ya'll know but I always encourage you to read my little disclaimer and note about getting my charts.

NOTE: Normally I have been able to create links to the charts and instructions which were in JPG form. For some reason, recent updates on Google Docs. has prevented me from doing that and I am not able to create a pdf without having to deal with storage issues.  Many dear stitchers say they right click, save the image and then print.  I think some have copied and pasted it to a Word document that they can print off as well. I hope you are able to find a way to enjoy this chart. You will have to click each page to save. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding and for all of the helpful tips and ideas.

I stitch my little designs for fun and to decorate my home. I feel very blessed by this community and love sharing my little charts, but I am not a professional designer. And I do not have professional software. Thank you for understanding . I am always grateful for your kind encouragement , your visits, and for stitching my little designs.

Now that I have one Farmhouse Friday stitch under my boots, its time to start another one. I am off to find what I can get into . Ya'll have a fantastic Friday and ...

As Always...

Happy quilting and stitching, ya'll
