Happy February ! Valentine decor is going up and guess who had to show up to the party. Annie and the gals!
Roses, Hearts, and Chickens |
If you have not met, Annie, Dorothy Mae, Edna, and Alma they have been appearing on several little seasonal stitches these last few months. Annie is a busy young woman who loves her 3 special hens. They are always close by whether Annie is tending to the bee hives as in Bees, Blooms and Chickens or picking pumpkins as in Cornstalks , Pumpkins and Chickens .
Why even this winter, Annie and the girls went out for some winter fun in the snow in Snowflakes, Sledding and Chickens .
This time Annie is gathering hearts and roses for a special delivery.
Dorothy Mae is manning the cart which is being pulled by Annie. Edna and Alma are scampering around ; hopefully they are going to be helping gathering up some special Valentine treats for the ones they love.
I always finish these pieces on a little wooden box that I purchased at the Goodwill.
I mount my stitching on a piece of foam board that has 2 layers of batting on it. I embellish the piece with a simple ruffle. This time the bottom foam board was covered with fabric from one of my daughter's dresses that she wore when she was 5 or 6. Oh how it warms my heart to reminisce of days gone by when my oldest daughter was running around in her little red sundress.
This stitch is a small measuring 54 x 51 . I stitched mine on 14 count aida which gives it a measurement of 3 7/8" x 3 5/8".
If you are interested in stitching Annie, check out the pdfs below. Now remember I am not a professional designer nor do I have professional software. The pdfs may print out light and I apologize for that. I also have to put them on 3 separate pages.

It is a thrill for me to come up with ideas for Annie and the crew. I really am enjoying using this box too. It is a perfect place to hide little treasures.
Thank you for visiting me, Annie and the gals. I hope that you will come back and visit again. Have a lovely day and as always...
Happy stitching, ya'll
