Winter Stamp SAL - WINTER HEADER

Good morning, Sweet Peas and Happy Monday.

I think I am ready for the "Winter Header" stitch . How about you?

I stitched the word "Winter" using DMC 823 and added a bit of snow along the edges of the letters.

Snowflakes, snowmen and trees round out the header.

OOOPS- CORRECTION-   Silly me😌.  I forgot to chart the snow on top of the letters in the header. Please forgive me. I will correct the charts when I return from my camping trip. But  if you look at my photo, I just sprinkled white stitches on top of the letters.

It's A Snowman Sunday

It is our 1st Slow Stitching Sunday of the new year and I have pulled out the perfect project to work on!☃⛄  Brrrr!

Welcome , y'all and Happy Sunday! Are you enjoying a cozy day in your jammies ? Perhaps working on a slow stitching project yourself?
I sure hope so.
I seem to get so much more completed during the cold winter months.  Maybe because I am hunkered down.  How about you?
Anywhoo, I put  this freebie from Bunny Hill Designs called A Merry  Little Christmas into the hoop.

Some of you may remember that I changed the words on the banner to " A Very Merry Winter" so I can leave it out longer.
I added a snowflake button for the snowman's pom pom too.

Sassy and Hissy say hi. They are darling little  strays that have taken up residence at my sister's house. I visit them daily to make sure they are taken care of. Aren't they precious? Look at Sassy's blue eyes! Wow!

I am doing the snowman boogie for I finished Mr. McChill . This was a freebie that I shared all the way back in December of 2021. Wow what took me so long to finish this handsome fella?  Hmm , no excuses here, I guess I was just a Miss Lazy Bones.  Hee! Hee!

I finished Mr. McChill  as a round and added some pom pom trim and a ripped gathered, cotton , gingham ruffle. I am thrilled to have him ready for the tree this year.

Ho! Ho! Ho!  I am still stitching Christmas. Are you? A Prairie Schooler Santa was started and finished on the 2nd of this month. Now onto the next one!

Now onto the plans for the week.
Hmm.... What Should I do This Week?
🌞1. Work on Flaming Butterflies quilt
🌞2.Work on Winter Stamp SAL
🌞3Work on Travel journal
🌞4. Work on Bunny Hill  A Very Merry Christmas
🌞5. Whatever Strikes My Fancy!

☃☃☃☃☃☃☃☃☃☃☃☃

I am off to put in a few stitches. Enjoy your day, Sweetie Pies and ...

 As Always,

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Winter Stamp SAL BORDER

Do you have your snow boots on? And your mittens?   Eeeh ! I am so excited! It is the 1st day of the Winter Stamp Stitch Along!

Good morning, y'all  and welcome.  No snow here yet. The grandsons are waiting on pins and needles for the first flakes though . Perhaps a flurry or two will come by the end of the winter season.

Frosty Stamp

My fabrics are dyed and ready for the Winter Stamp SAL. I will be working on my individual stamps today.

Dyed with Rit  Blue Denim

The border on the large sampler is stitched, and it is ready to be filled with "all things winter. "

I stitched the border using DMC 930. Originally, I thought about stitching it in DMC 823, but at the time I could not find my floss. I do however like how the border has came out.

DMC 930 is used in the border.

I will be stitching each design twice . Once in the sampler and the 2nd time individually. I will be making the individual stamps into small pin pillows  . These pillows will be tucked in my Christmas / Winter tree or nestled in a dough bowl for the season.

Below is a list of the DMC FLOSS COLORS that  I will be using for the whole project . If additional colors are added , I will let you know . I will be stitching along with you and  I sorta fly by the seat of my pants. Hee! Hee!  I am stitching my border in DMC 930. I will be making the large piece and each stamp individually.

DMC-  Blanc,  223,  301, 347, 356,   469, 646, 823, 829,  930, 3345,  3346, 3371, 3781,

Winter On Pine Berry Lane -A House Freebie

"Ring a Ling Ling"!  I am ringing in the New Year with a new house for my neighborhood.

Welcome , y'all and a lovely day to you.

For the last few months, I have been stitching away on a winter home with soft, sweet colors.

It is called "Winter on Pine Berry Lane".

The house looks so warm and cozy nestled  among the blanket of snow and snowcapped trees.  If you missed any of the other Winter homes, I invite you to visit yesterday's post" A Parade of Homes"  where I shared a house stitches that I have shared throughout the years.
