Fantabulous Friday!

 Good evening, my sweet friends. Another fantabulous summer Friday has rolled around!😍😄 So what are you up to today?  Do you have a fabulous project you are working or are you doing something relaxing?  I have been doing a little house cleaning today, but I am hoping to reward myself with some time in the Quilt Nest here soon. 

I do have some Friday Quilt Progress to show you though. 

I used scraps of reds and blues to finish this sweet cross stitch design by Hinzeit "Love 2 Quilt ". The chart was gifted to me from my sweet friend, PJ . I used the floss that I had on hand and changed the colors to fit my decor.

 I think Paxton the Bear , my newest thrifty find, is  quite happy with a new quilt to snuggle with.  Thank you, PJ. 😊🙏

Last week I shared these little nine patches I was working on . 

Not all of them, but some of them made it into this little quilt called "Fair and Square" . It is a pattern in Kim Diehls' new book, Simple Whatnots II. I was fortunate enough to win the book in a sweet giftaway by Kim.

I made mine a little bigger than the called for size, but boy was it a fun one to work on.  The fabrics are early 2000's , late 90's fabrics that I had in my stash. 

Finally, I was able to get all of the 12 needed blocks completed for my new quilt.  Oh I am doing a happy dance ! 

I had first saw this quilt on  Bonnie Hunter's blog. It was an antique quilt she was showing in a mini patriotic quilt parade. The original had light blue sashings and a border.  I hope you pop over to see it. I have bought fabric for the border and sashing, but it is looking quite dashing  without sashing too. Hmmm ! What to do ? It is something to contemplate.
