Blessed -IG Five Year Anniversary Chart - Freebie

Rain drops keep falling on my head...

Good Thursday morning, Sweet friends.

Yesterday I awoke to a beautiful rainy day. It was a gentle rain that only lasted a few hours , but it made the plants perk up with joy and shout "Yahoo!"

More rain is on the way as Hurricane Helene approaches and makes landfall. My prayers go out to all of those in Helene's path.

For the last 4 years, I have always shared a "Blessed " chart.

Sept 26, 2020 - 1 year IG Anniversary Post

Five years ago today, I took a big plunge for me and that was to get on social media. Oh boy, was I scared  to death, but with a few words of encouragement from my daughter, I posted a photo on Instagram.  I know this is not a big deal, but it sure was in my mind especially since I was not very tech savvy .

So I could not let this day go by without telling you how grateful I am to all of you. You are my sweet friends and a blessing in my life.

You brighten my day and lift my spirits. Your sweet visits , words of encouragement and support  means the world to me.  I do feel blessed.

Thank you!

"Blessed" -Three Year IG Anniversary Chart Freebie

A very good morning to you, my friends.  This post  is a day late and a dollar short. What do I mean by that ? Well I was supposed to post this in September of last year.  For the last couple of years, I have posted a "Blessed " Chart in celebration of my Anniversary on Instagram and though the post was ready to go, I failed to publish it.  So here it is - A Day Late and A Dollar Short! 😀

Any whoo, September, 26, 2022 was my  Three  Year anniversary of being on Instagram. Lol Well , I know that is not an earth shattering day to celebrate , but I look for any reason to have a grand  day.

My very first post was in 2019.  I had already decorated for Halloween and I just took a snapshot of a display in my hall . With butterflies in my stomach, I took the plunge and posted. Oh, boy was I scared. I have told the story before , but my daughter  jokingly said "I'm sure there is someone out there like you". 😂😀

My very first post on Instagram - Sept . 26, 2019

For the last two years , I have celebrated this day , by sharing a "Blessed " chart.  Why? Well because of you!  You make me feel so blessed!  I have made many friends on Instagram and my blog and though we have never met in person; you have brought so much joy into my life.   Everyone that I have chatted with online has been so very kind and supportive and that means more than mere words can express. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Let me show you my  previous "Blessed " charts.

Blessed- Two Year IG Anniversary Chart

Good morning, my dear friends. Can you guess what today is? Well , Lol I guess you already know with the title of my post 😂😀 Today is my 2nd year anniversary of being on Instagram!!! Woo Hoo! .

I still get butterflies  every time I post on IG ; in fact on my blog too. 🦋🦋  I  also still remember to this day when I first told my youngest daughter that I was thinking of getting on IG.  Always the Positive Polly she encouraged me to take the leap and get on social media. "Sure " she said, " You may find people like you". Lol.

Then I had to break the idea to my hubby. "What would he think?  He politely smiled and said sure that sounds fun. Lol . I know he was thinking "What in the world is she going to post? " To be honest , my intention was not to post at all ,but to look at all of the pretties that was posted on IG and of course soak in all of the inspiration and revel in the enablement.  But then I did it! A little fall post.

My very first post on Instagram - Sept . 26, 2019

I was hooked. You know -  I still remember who was my 1st follower.

Over the last 2 years I have met so many wonderful and supportive stitchers and quilters , and I feel so fortunate to call so many  of you friends. Your positivity, sweet comments and visits send me over the moon. You have seen me through some good times and even through some  tough times and you probably didn't even know it, but your kindness has always kept  me motivated and going.  Such an amazing community. I do feel quite blessed.

For my 1st year anniversary , I shared this little design called Blessed.

Sept 26, 2020 - 1 year IG Anniversary Post

If you haven't seen it, just click here and you will magically be transported to a year ago today where you will find the pdf.

After mulling over what I wanted to share for my 2nd anniversary, I decided I was going to stick to a theme ( Lol. Many of ya'll know I can take to a theme like a dog takes to a bone) So for my 2nd anniversary, I am sharing another Blessed chart.  With this chart, you choose your favorite floss colors, fabric and just go to town stitching. Though not listed on the chart, I used DMC 221, 3371, 3345, and 780.

It is a small and measures 23 x 71. On 14 count aida that would be around 1 5/8 inches x 5 1/8 inches. You could add a simple border to make it bigger if you want. It would also be a great piece to stitch to use up small scraps.

Click here for the instruction page.

My humble little designs can never compare to the warmth, love and support that ya'll have given me. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.  I wish I could give you all a big hug . I also want to thank you for being so understanding that I am not tech savvy ; you have indeed had so much patience with me in this learning process.  Thank you for each visit, sweet comments, kind words and click of the like button. I feel so fortunate to be part of this community. As always...

Happy stitching, ya'll

Melisa

Because of you I laugh a little harder, cry a little less and smile a lot more.

Hugs and Stitches !!!

Blessed - One Year Instagram Anniversary Chart - Freebie

One year ago today, with my knees a knocking, my stomach a quivering and my teeth a chattering I decided to join Instagram. This was my 1st social media experience, and I was scared. To be honest, I am still scared every time I post. I talked it over with my daughter and she laughingly said, " Sure join; you may find people like you". She never thought I would really join Instagram, but I did.

I did not know what I wanted to post, but I knew I wanted to see what other stitchers were posting. I had been watching flosstube for over a year and would hear about all the fun stitchers were having sharing on Instagram.

Could I be part of the Instagram world? Yes!!! I sent out my first post .

                                                ( My 1st post on  Instagram!- Sept 26, 2019)

My face turned red, and I could feel the heat rising in my body as I posted. Oh my nerves!  A little fall decor and a quilt was my first post. The next day I sent out another. Between posts I began to search for some of my favorite Flosstubers  and bloggers,  and then I would find suggestions on other stitchers  to follow. All along I was devouring all of the beautiful stitching , decorating and photographs.  By the third day or so, I had my 1st follower.  I was so ecstatic!   To be honest I ran down the stairs like a 4 year old and blissfully yelled at my  husband with glee " I have my first follower!"   ( Lol Can you tell that I have never been on any social media before?)

Over the last few months , I have met so many wonderful stitchers. I wish I could sit here all day and name off all of my friends.   There are several that I chat with daily even if it is with just a few words or just a click of the like button.  Some of you- I  feel like I have known for years, and I  wish that we lived closer together so we could sit, drink tea or coffee , stitch and talk the day away. How blessed I feel to have found kindred spirits. You all have helped me through ups and some downs even when I did not mention it.  Your kind words always brighten my day. Your posts provide so much inspiration, enabling,  and I learn so much from you all. This community is amazing.   I am so grateful to each and every one of you  who take just a moment of your busy day to spend with me. I truly feel blessed, honored and very humbled.

So in celebration of my one year IG anniversary I want to post this simple little chart called "Blessed".

For the Blessed chart, click here .

(So sorry this is crooked. I have to scan to get this on the computer and you know I am not tech savvy.- I'm trying though. Lol)
Thank you dear friends. I can not say that enough. Big ole hugs and as always...

Happy stitching,

Melisa

I would love to see your stitch. You can always direct message me on Instagram or use #pinkernpunkinquilting .
