Gardening, Stitching and a Patriotic Freebie

Is this the last  Slow Stitching Sunday in June? By golly, I do believe it is ! Where has the month gone?

Welcome ya'll and Happy Sunday!

Many of ya'll know that I started canning this week. Right now it is pickles . So the official tally for the week  is 9 jars of Bread and Butter, 5  jars of Dill Spears , and 4  jars of squash pickles. I am working on small batches right now, but it will add up.

The garden has certainly been keeping me busy. The other day my oldest grandbaby inspected the  maters to see if there were any bugs and such.

We also took off suckers and planted some of them. Soon we will be swimming in tomatoes. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ…

A little canning jar design for you. It's a choose your own colors chart. I plan to work on it today.

If you are interested in stitching this piece,  just grab , the images. For printing tips, refer to the post Tips for Printing which has loads of tips from my sweet friends.

UPDATE: I finished the Mini Patriotic Mason Jar along with Pop Goes the Fireworks Stamp. They just need to be FFOd. - July  1st.

ANOTHER UPDATE: I FFOd  the Mini Mason Jar into a teeny cutie patootie pillow. - July 3, 2023

Of course summer time activities have cut into my stitching and quilting time. But I have accomplished a few things.

I finished the embroidery work on "When Life Gives You Lemons". I think I will create another block to go with it soon.

Last night I finished the nine patches and rail fence blocks for the  Summer Blues Quilt Archaeology  design by Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. It is a freebie only through today  Sunday June 25th.

Joy of Days Filled with Joy has been hosting a seasonal embroidery SAL for the past year. I  have embroidered each and every one.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿค—

On Friday, she shared the 5th embroidery motif in the Spring SAL

So today my nimble fingers will be enjoying working on  this embroidery. And Eeeeh! Joy will be sharing a Summer SAL soon.  Thank you , Joy.

Alrighty ya'll , have a beautiful and blessed day and thank you so much for dropping by for a Sunday visit.

As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

Buzzin Bee Parade- Bee Freebies of the Past

Good morning, my beautiful friends!!!! Let's start the day with a bee poem shall we.

Bees, bees, bees, bees

Buzzin in bushes, buzzin  in trees

Buzzin around whereever they please

There is nothing so sweet as a honey bee.

I so agree! I do love my bees!  Not many people know this but I am allergic to them, but that does not stop me from enjoying their beauty and all that they do.

 TAAAADAAA DAAA! ๐ŸŽบ๐Ÿ  HIVE UPDATE

Well the bees are staying busy. They are taking care of the flowers and tending to their hives. On warm days , you might see a number of them on the outside of the boxes.

Now, grab you a cup of tea or whatever strikes your fancy and join me as I share a bee parade of past bee stitches. I am sure more will come in the future for one can not just have one or even two bee stitches. Don't tell Mr. Pinker but  I need a swarm of bee stitches !!!! Ssssh he thinks I am  on the verge of going "bee crazy".

It's Done!!!

 It's done! It's done! It's really done!

Happy Friday, ya'll! ๐Ÿค—

I finished quilting my "Grandma's Love" quilt!

Mr. Pinker bought me this quilt top last year for my birthday along with another quilt top. This is the 1st to be quilted.  It is hand pieced and appliqued. It just took a little over 3 months to quilt it. Woo Hoo! Doing the happy dance. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Do you know what this pattern is called? I sure would love to know.

I quilted 1/4" around the blocks. Do you see the heart that formed in the reds? That is why I called it Grandma's Love.

Oh lookie  here! Here come the gals - coming to see my quilt. ๐Ÿ„

๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„  ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ„

Or maybe they just see that I have  my camera.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I have told you how a few of them are divas and love to have their photos taken. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿค
Of course they are cuties if I do say so.

I love seeing a quilt flap in the wind.

Don't you think this looks like a great patriotic quilt too in all its scrappy glory?

Ooops, I got a little snap happy with my camera.
Thank you for taking the time to drop by to see my latest finish. I am working my fingers to the bone on 2 other quilts. I hope to show some progress on Sunday.
Have an awesome weekend, my friends.

Love ya' till the cows come home!!!!

As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll
