I am stuffed! How about you? Oh , but there are leftovers still to be eaten. Mmmm, I am thinking turkey sandwiches are in my future. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving gathering with 19 in attendance at Mom's . It would have only been better if the rest of the family could have been here. I think we will be eating leftovers for days which is a good thing.
Do you have a favorite holiday leftover?

Have you seen Diann's Christmas hexies topper that she is working on at Little Penguin Quilts blogspot? Cute as a button. ❤She is using some of the doodles to create a little quilt similar to her Fall table quilt that she finished earlier this month which is also adorable I might add. Thank you , Diann for using these little doodles. 🤗

ReplyDeleteWe are way too stuffed and actually pretty tired out, too...today was R & R.
I have a set of cross stitch quilt blocks to embroider and all I did was pick out floss colors today--and nap hahaha!!
I really like your Peppermint Pinwheels blocks--so great in the Christmassy colors...
Hugs for a great relaxing weekend upcoming...Julierose
I, too, love the plaid idea for your hutch.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, I love all your doodles and Peppermint Pinwheel blocks. Can you say "adorable"? Here's your assignment since I can't seem to get my printer to play nice, would you please print all the doodles and send them to me? Better yet, draw them on muslin or something similar so I can start stitching. Got it? Let me know when you're ready for my mailing address. ROFLOL
And, by the way your Peppermint Pinwheel blocks are very, very cute. Excellent Christmas prints!!! Since you'll be sending all the doodles feel free to send a 2.5" square of each
Christmas print. More - lots more - ROFLOL
Enjoy all your projects. Hugs, DarleneJ (thank you for indulging my silliness)
Loving the bones to your decorating already. Can't wait to see the rest. Your peppermint twists are getting sweeter. Stuffing and dirt (dessert made with Oreos) are my favorite leftovers.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice size gathering to celebrate Thanksgiving. The plaid looks great in the hutch - very festive. I can’t wait to see when you have finished decorating. I shouldn’t be surprised to see you getting so much accomplished today. I don’t have any energy today to put away the fall decorations - maybe tomorrow. The pinwheel quilt is beautiful - love the colors. Alicia
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest fabrics for your peppermint pinwheels! 😍
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving! We did too. I especially loved the ham this year and ate a LOT 😆 🍖
Have a good weekend! Hugs from snowy Maine, Alex 😊❄️
Good to hear you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hugs !
ReplyDeleteYour Thanksgiving sounds yummy! We had a small gathering at dh's brother's home. Only a little leftover corn casserole to take home. Sure miss those turkey left overs. No stitching today. Small business Saturday so I'm headed out to my quilt store. Then to the local Holiday Market. Your peppermint quilt is coming along beautifully! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI only brought home desserts from my nieces house & that probably was a bad thing😄 the hutch looks great! Im trying to get started on some quilts as Christmas will be here way to quickly
ReplyDeleteOh that must have been a fun time at your Mom's. We had 11 here, plus our grandson's puppy and our two dogs, so it was happy chaos! What a wonderful time of the year, right? Your decorations already look so cozy and pretty. I will start decorating later this week - yay!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good crowd for the holiday. Enjoy putting out your Christmas decor. I'll get to that eventually. Peppermint Wheels is looking good. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. Your quilt is going to be sew cute! I look forward to seeing it in the quilt hoop!
ReplyDeleteWe were stuffed following our meal out on Thursday, Melisa. Your quilt top looks fabulous as do your doodles. Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI bet that got noisy at your mom's house with 19 people! We had nine and it was noisy! Your pinwheel quilt is looking great.
ReplyDeleteYour plaids are going to be fun in the hutch, Melisa! I'm enjoying stitching those doodles this week, and you are so sweet to feature my hexie idea. Your doodles are the perfect size to go inside the hexie shape! I love your peppermint pinwheel blocks - they are going to make a sweet quilt! I love turkey sandwiches and turkey soup - which we have a lot of right now. I think tonight I'll make some beef tips to go with the leftover mashed potatoes!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see that sideboard with its Christmas decorations, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteMmm, those leftovers look delicious... Big hug!
It sounds like you had a full house, yet the rest of the family was in your heart. Stuffing and gravy are my favorite leftovers. Yum! Your hutch is off to a lovely start! Thank you so much for your generosity. I'm looking forward to stitching Christmas Blessings! Isn't Diann such an inspiration?
ReplyDeleteEverything looks and sounds beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful spread that you shared on Thanksgiving. We had 3 people here and 4 people eating. I sent food home with my son's GF for her dad, who chose not to come. I am really liking the plaid accent in the hutch decorating. It will be beautiful. The hexie idea for the doodles is genius. The Peppermint Pinwheels colorway feels like Whoville to me. So fun! I see this top done by New Year's.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your Thanksgiving with your family was everything you wanted it to be. Bless you and your entire family.
ReplyDeleteA plaid theme for the hutch sounds perfect for the holidays. I look forward to seeing it come together.
ReplyDeleteYour doodles are just too cute! Love your plaid theme for the cupboard--it's so original, bright, and happy! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
