"Where ya' going to put me? " asked Miss Autumn 16 Patch.
| Autumn 16 patch is made up of 2" squares ( 2 1/2" unfinished) |
" Give me a minute , " I replied as I bustled about the junk room looking for the step ladder.
Soon I made my way to the living room . "Come here you cute little rascal, " I said to Miss Autumn 16 Patch. I grabbed her up and tucked her onto the wall quilt display shelf hanging over the buffet.
" You mean I get to be on display before being quilted? " she asked confused.
"You sure do! I want to enjoy your beauty now . I will quilt you after the fall season," I reassured her.
Miss Autumn 16 Patch beamed brightly.
Welcome, Y'all and Happy Thursday. I am thrilled to the gills to have the autumn quilt top on display. I often display my tops until I get them quilted.
Once I placed her on the quilt rack, I promptly hung up the darling "Fall " banner that my sweet friend Patricia made me. Isn't it as cute as a button?
It was not long before, squirrels and crows scampered onto the buffet with acorns and pumpkins rolling in behind them.
I think I will be tweaking my Fall decor all throughout the season.
Slowly bits of Halloween is coming out too. My tiered tray is overflowing with spookiness.
| The tiered tray is filled with my children's childhood candy containers. |

Love the new Halloween stamp. So stinkin' cute. And, I love, love, love your Autumn 16 patch quilt top. My handwork projects have been consuming all my time but today I sewed like my hair was on fire. LOL Made blocks for a medium sized Autumn quilt and I made a small quilt with some 30's prints. Tomorrow I'll trim the blocks for the Autumn quilt and assemble the quilt top. I actually need to spend several days machine quilting a large pile of little quilts.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the grandboys!!! Big Hugs, DarleneJ
Oh gosh you have been a busy bee, Miss Darlene. I bet your Autumn quilt will be adorable. What type of quilt blocks are you piecing? Aaah the 30's prints. I just love any quilt with those sweet colors and designs. I was looking through my repros today just dreaming about using them though. LOL. Maybe this weekend you will be able to dive into machine quilting the sweet little quilts up. I sure hope so. I worked on my Fall checklist quilt today. Maybe binding will go on it tonight. Thank you for the sweet Thursday visit. Hugs from the holler.
DeleteMiss Autumn 16 Patch is right where she needs to be. Look at her showing off! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLol thank you so much, Kathy. I just could not resist hanging her even if she is unfinished. I have been itching for a new autumn quilt for that area. I hope you had a very lovely day and got in some quilting time yourself. Hugs.
DeleteThe autumn patch is beautiful! ,I have a few tops displayed in the sewing room that hold precious memories

ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Donna. I have to admit that I do not have many "Fall fabrics " in my stash either. I used lots of men's shirts in this one. I have slowly been building up my plaid stash by purchasing shirts at thrift stores. LOL. I think this little stamp is my favorite so far. It was so much fun to stitch and share. Have a great evening. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteYour quilt looks so beautiful as a backdrop to all that fall decor, Melisa! And the new Halloween stamp is absolutely perfect!

I have many fond memories of watching movies with my girls when they were growing up. Thank you, Joy for the well wishes for the boys. They are doing well despite their injuries. Have a wonderful afternoon. Hugs and Blessings.

ReplyDeleteOh gosh, Linda it doesn't feel like Fall here either. The temps crept right back up which I knew that they would. A few of the trees are starting to change colors but for the most part it still looks and feels like summer here. Thank you for the sweet Thursday visit. I hope you had a great day. Hugs.

I was hoping to change out some of my Fall to Halloween today , but the youngin's kept me busy. I hope you had a good time changing out your decor. Have a great evening. Hugs.

Debra Broyles
Good evening sweet Debra and Happy Happy October. Oh, I missed you to. It is so glad to be home and back into the swing of things though I will be kicking up the dust and getting back on the road again here very soon. Since hubby has retired we try to get out as much as possible. I would be going all of the time if I could . I guess I am a wanderlust by nature. LOL. But I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel the same where I am on the go , go, go but not getting anywhere. LOL How does that happen? Hee! Hee! Aah I am so touched that you like my little Cauldron stamp. The kitty / pumpkin stitch is called the Halloween Jar and it was in my Oct. 10, 2023 post. I will try to put a link in the above post tonight. I had a great time stitching that little kitty. I hope you have been doing good over the last week. I bet you have been staying very busy. It still feels like summer here. How about in your neck of the woods? I wish you the most lovely evening, sweet friend. Warm bear hugs from the holler

DeleteWhat a warm and cozy 15 patch quilt you've created. Thank you for the sweet little Halloween Stamp. So cute! With this collection getting bigger and bigger, all we need is a setting and header and we have another sampler. Is that what you are doing, tricky little Miss Melisa? 😉
ReplyDeleteLOL, dear Ginny . It is . I hope to have at least 9 stamps completed . Gosh I do need to work on the header though. I have to admit that I am having a ball working on these stamps. Hee! Hee! Thank you for the sweet giggles and visit, Ginny. You always brighten my day. Hugs.

DeleteHello, my sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteI hope and pray that your grandson and Mr. Pinker's arms are recovering. I've also been having pain in my left arm for 20 days from spending so many hours with the frame in my hand, haha, but I'm slowly getting better. On the other hand, your new fall stamp is beautiful, which I'm sure I'll make soon! Have you seen the new post on my blog with one of your adorable stamps?
I never tire of telling you that I LOVE all your designs that you kindly gift us. Thank you, friend.

Good evening, sweet Dianet. I hope you have had a very lovely day. Thank you so much for the well wishes for my boys. They are doing well despite their injuries. I am keeping you in my prayers as well. I know it just makes your heart sink to not be able to stitch as much as you would like with your arm giving you so much trouble. I do hope that it heals very soon. I did see your sweet posts and it made my day ever so special. I cannot thank you enough for being such a kind and supportive friend. I hope my comment / message went through. I do try to comment each visit, but my internet is so poor and choppy here so I am not sure if it goes through.
