Woo Hoo, I Met My Goal!

Good evening, ya'll. Thank you so much for stopping by. I just wanted to share a quick post .
Last month, I linked up to Elm Street Quilts blog in the One Monthly Goal challenge and Woo Hoo, I met my goal. My plan was to finish this small four patch green quilt which I finished this weekend.  Right in the knick of time. Wheww!
This little quilt is perfect for St. Patrick's Day and I have already tried to sneak it into my decor .

Since that was a small goal ,I also set a 2nd goal of making at least 20 yo yos to add to my yo yo quilt project. Check✔ .I completed that too. Here are some of the yo yos in my newest addition to my spring decor - a metal truck from Walmart.

My project for tonight is to work on Tree of Life Samplings "Beauty and Grace". I want to add a few more stitches into the house. I am loving this stitch.

Thank you for the sweet visit.

Happy Quilting and Stitching, ya'll

  1. Well done you for keeping to your goals! Your little green quilt is great and how fabulous it looks sitting there with all your pretty china sitting in the dresser. You have some lovely pieces there. Have fun working on that cute little house.

  4. I'm one of your unknown readers - love to look - ooh and aah - but rarely comment. Not today tho. ;-) I see you're working on a yo-yo quilt. My great grandfather made one many years ago. I was wondering how you had planned to finish it? His yo-yo's were hand connected and then hand sewn to a backing. Not a quilt - more like a coverlet I guess.
    Thanks for your time.
I really do like your blog!

    1. Aah thank you so much, Donna for visiting and leaving a comment. How amazing that your great grandfather made a yo yo quilt . I hope that you have it or it stayed in the family. I have always wanted one. Rarely I see them at antique stores and they are expensive in my area when I do see them. I have debated on both ways of finishing it. The ones that I have seen have not been backed, but a backing sure would make it more secure. I have seen yo yo quilts on the internet backed. I am aiming for a full size quilt and have about 1/2 already joined which I need to post a photo. I am so happy that you left me a comment about this little project.Once this piece is done, I hope to work on a hexagon quilt.
