A wonderful Wednesday to you, sweet friends!
How has your week been thus far? I hope it has been filled with joy and productivity. Mr. Pinker and I have been busy bees.
Monday we ran our usual weekly errands - groceries and such. By mid afternoon, I had put on my apron and began bustling about with duster in hand. It is time to change out the decor to fall .
I am doing the happy hoe down! A new house stitch is completed- just a little log cabin located on top of a quilted hill. It is called "Summer at the Mill House".

So what do you think? Could you live at Mill House surrounded by gigantic sunflowers and cawing crows? I sure could.
Well, I better get back to the tasks at hand- cleaning and fall decorating. The countdown is on- 26 more days until Autumn! 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
Enjoy your day!
As Always...
Happy Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

ReplyDeleteHello, Hello!! Love the new house - adorable! Once again, thank you so much for sharing your talent. I've been a busy bee with my hand applique and other projects. Keeping my hands busy has really helped me put my stressful situation in perspective. I'm finding myself smiling more and feeling more bliss in my days. I finished my patriotic circle quilt and then posted a picture of the five circle quilts I've completed. I enjoy making them a bit too much. LOL That's OK - it's all about what makes me happy. Happy Wednesday! Lots and lots hugs my sweet friend. DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteGood morning from chilly Maine, and happy Wednesday! What a beautiful little house you created! When can I move in? 😄 Thank you for sharing it with us! 🙏🏻🥰
ReplyDeleteToday is the first day of school - hallelujah! 🤣 I'm looking forward for routine and structure to return. Maybe I'll finally have time to quilt again. I've only been able to make a few (cross) stitches in my current project because life has had been so busy. We got another dog (puppy) a week ago and our life is chaotic at the moment (not sure why I thought I needed another "kid" to take care of...I already have 🧔🏻♂️👧🐕🦺🐈🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆) 🤣🤣😅
Anywho, i hope you're having a wonderful week! Hugs from Maine,
Alex 🍂🍁
Your Mill House is just beautiful! Yes there is no more joyful time for me than the approach of and experience of fall - it never grows old.
ReplyDeleteSo excited for a new house!! Another one to add to my list of "to do" patterns. I have Sunflower houses out right now and getting ready to change to apple decorations for September. I will work on the Mill House for display for next August for Sunflower month. Thank you so much for the wonderful patterns you share - it is so greatly appreciated. Your patterns keep me extra busy in the evenings stitching away. I have been working on lots of bee themes for next year too. Take care - Carrie
ReplyDeleteA new house! So cute - love the sunflowers - my favorite! Thank you. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThe Mill House looks fabulous, Melisa. What a cool addition to the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteMill house finished up so beautifully--love the crows and sunflowers around it...
ReplyDeletelovely work hugs, Julierose
good morning lovely Melisa.
ReplyDeletei just love the "summer at the mill house" piece. it is awesome. i love the sunflowers and, of course, i love the crows, too. they are so lucky there isn't a scarecrow in the field to scare their loud, cawing voices away. next time Mr. Crow, next time. you ought to know that it is fresh off the printer and into my Pinker n' Punkin stack of projects "to do"!!!
you and Mr. Pinker had a very busy day yesterday. i did, too. you were doing busy errands (ugh! my turn today) and i was sitting in a classroom with all my quilties enjoying a quilty day. it was wonderful. all of the ladies are such wonderful people. it's amazing how we're all very different, but then again we are all so very much alike. does that make sense? we are all different people, but our lives are so alike. we all seem to have the same challenges in life. family, kids, grandkids, illness, and all of that fun stuff. it is really something.
i hope the weather is getting cooler for you because it is definitely getting hot hot hotter for us. wowza!!! put that personal fan back on my neck please!!! the heat with the humidity is almost unbearable. when at home i have the air conditioning cranking. i even have a few fans blowing to help circulate the air. miserable!!!
today is a rest up day for me. i need to run to the market for a few things for myself and my mom. then my mom has a drs appt at 11:50. the rest of the day is mine, all mine!!! tomorrow is a housecleaning, scrubbing day for me. friday i'll be doing the housecleaning, scrubbing day for my mom.
i pray you have a wonderful, blessed day Melisa.
blessings and love are coming your way.

Your Mill House design is a pretty one, Melisa! I love the crows and the sunflowers, and also the green grass with quilt blocks in it. It's (all of sudden) feeling like fall here, too. I'm ready for some fall projects!
