Rise and shine, Sunshine! It is a beautiful sunny Sunday! And we do have so much to do - don't we?
What you may ask? Well some slow stitching, Silly! Hee! Hee! I have my needle and thread ready. Do you?
First off, I do need to tackle a few of the Blooming Hexies.
I chose a buttercream yellow for some of the blocks. I have an extra needle if you would like to join in and applique one down. Hmm, perhaps the purple one.
 |
I need to press some of the edges down before appliqueing. ๐ |
What else can we tackle?! How about some binding on "Shoo Spider, Shoo". I have the binding fabric all picked out. If you do not mind, will you cut the strips while I get the thread?
And let's see . Hmmm we need one more thing to work on.๐ค How about some yarn punch?!
I still have all of those thrifted skeins of wool that need to be put to good use. A woolly pumpkin would be nice. Don't ya' think?
That's a good start to our morning! Now tell me- what would you like me to help you with?
Thank you for the sweet Sunday visit. Let's get to movin' and groovin'!
Ooops I forgot to tell you my plans for the week. Of course, I will continue working on these projects, and I do need to work on my Harvest Moon house. I must not forget my Otis Payne quilt. ( Are you sick of it yet? Hee! Hee. ) Oh well , that should do me.
As always,
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

DeleteFun bee ๐ stitcheries! I will do some knitting while you stitch. You have lots to keep you busy! Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteOh how fun, Gail. I do wish you were here so you could teach me how to knit. LOL. I have always wanted to learn. I am slowly getting better at crocheting, but I am still a newby at it. Thank you for the sweet Sunday visit. Have a lovely week. Hugs.
DeleteLooks like you have lots of fun things to work on today, Melisa! I love the butter yellow for your hexie background - that's going to be really pretty. I would happily cut some binding strips for your cute spider quilt, too. Enjoy your stitching today - whatever you work on!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much, Diann. I have debated and debated on the background fabric for the hexies Thankfully, I had the buttercream in the stash. I hope I can locate more for the rest of the blocks. Happy Sunday. Hugs.

Deletegood afternoon lovely Melisa.
ReplyDeleteyou sound like the energizer bunny and those are just tasks you are going to tackle in the morning. geez!!! i'm tired after reading the post. i need a nap!!! hahahaha
i have been pretty busy today as well just fiddle fartin around, but it has kept me very busy. i'm getting ready to go cut my pieces for my quilt and then i'll move onto the laundry. once it cools down (if it ever does) i'll go outside and water the houseplants and tomatoes. i have a few plants that need to be transplanted so i'll do that as well. i plan to go outside at 6:30. fingers-crossed it is shady in my working spots. i haven't given up on the tomatoes thus far. very soon is likely. i did get 3 cherry tomatoes and 1 beefsteak tomato. they were all a yellowy-red and i picked them early so my little rascal couldn't get to them. they were probably planning to feast on them this evening, but surprise, surprise - they're mine, all mine!!! at least i can say i got one beefsteak tomato off the vine. geez!!! they are hungry little devils.
i hope you have an awesome rest of your day. i definitely plan, too.
blessings and love are coming your way sweet lady.
Debra Broyles
Good evening, dear Debra. Oh , I do hope you had a lovely day working in the quilt room and outside. I am so glad you beat the little rascals to your tomato plants.Hee! Hee! Want they be surprised when they go for a snack and none are there? We missed picking from the garden yesterday because of the rain. We got a few cherry tomatoes and a tad of okra today. The figs are getting ripe so they have been a tasty afternoon treat. I ate my last beefsteak tomato this morning in a salad. I sure will miss the fresh maters. It is supposed to cool down here this week. I wish I could send you some of the cool temps. I wish you the most wonderful evening and a fabulous new week. Warm hugs and love
