Just A Chillin'

Good evening, ya'll . Though it is late in the afternoon, I  wanted to pop in so I could join Kathy for Slow Stitching Sunday and yes , it has been a slow Sunday. I have been laying low and being slow-๐Ÿ˜€ just enjoying the day. It was too cold to be out with the temps in the 30's.

One of the newest stitches I am working on.

Mr. Pinker and I had a very lovely camping trip this past week. Mr. Pinker hunted and I enjoyed every moment at the campground buzzing away on my sewing machine.  I will show you what I worked on later.

When I wasn't on the sewing machine, I was stitching on my Frosty McChill quilt.

Oh, boy, can I tell you how excited I am . I finished 7 blocks  and this week I have completed 2 more.

3 more blocks to go and then to the border. By golly, I think this quilt will be finished by the first of December.

I am just quilting a cross hatch design in the blocks and using this template for the border.  I will continue stitching on it tonight.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have put away all of  my Halloween which was a big job.

And Thanksgiving stitching came out.

I fully finished Jean Farrish's Give Thanks .  Jean posted this on her blog in the October 10, 2020 post.  It was a fun piece to work on ; though I do have to admit when I stitched it I made so many boo boos.

Speaking of Thanksgiving stitches. I have a wee GIVE THANKS freebie to share too. It is a quicky stitch- one of those you can stitch up in 30 minutes or so.

If you are interested in stitching GIVE THANKS ,grab the images below. Many of ya'll know but I always encourage you to read my little disclaimer and note about getting my charts.

NOTE: Normally I have been able to create links to the charts and instructions which were in JPG form. For some reason, recent updates on Google Docs. has prevented me from doing that and I am not able to create a pdf without having to deal with storage issues.  Many dear stitchers say they right click, save the image and then print.  I think some have copied and pasted it to a Word document that they can print off as well. I hope you are able to find a way to enjoy this chart. You will have to click each page to save. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding and for all of the helpful tips and ideas.

Many of you know , but I always like to leave this little disclaimer.

I stitch my little designs for fun and to decorate my home. I feel very blessed by this community and love sharing my little charts, but I am not a professional designer. And I do not have professional software. Thank you for understanding . I am always grateful for your kind encouragement , your visits, and for stitching my little designs.

This is a choose your own colors chart, but if you are interested, I used DMC 730, 898 and 301.

Alright ya'll. I am off to snuggle on the couch with a little snowman quilt . Have a great evening.

Eeeh ! Christmas decorating is going on too!

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

May you be blessed with love in your heart. Happiness in your home; Peace in your soul and joy in your life.

  6. What a fun time you both had doing what you love! I just love the frosty's and was wondering if you did anything special to the stitcheries before putting them into the quilt? Have a wonderful week.

    1. We both had a fabulous time, Deb. It was a relaxing trip as well. I did not do anything special to the embroidery blocks and did not use a stabilizer on the back. Since I know that this will get little use other than hanging on the wall, I thought the blocks would be ok. Thank you so much for asking. I am having a ball working on it. Have a great week.
