Frosty McChill Quilt Along Block 4 - Just a Sweeping!!!

  Good morning and Happy Thursday.

For those here in the U.S. Happy Thanksgiving!!! I hope all of ya'll's day abounds with blessings and joy.

I truly feel so grateful for all the blessings that I have and your kind support, encouragement, friendship,  and visits are counted among my many  blessings. So thank you, dear friends .💗💗

Turkeys will go in the oven here very soon.

Dinner will be at 12:00, and we will gobble till we wobble.

Afterwards, I hope to sit down and enjoy some embroidery work on my Frosty McChill quilt blocks. I am doing these in redwork, and for the last few weeks I have been sharing these designs. If you missed them, so far I have shared " Let it Snow"  and " Sled Time  ".

and Block 3 was The Tree March

Today is block 4 Just a Sweeping!!!

( Do any of ya'll remember country music singer John Anderson's song "Just a Swingin"? Lol . That little ditty was strumming  in my head as I stitched this one, but I was singing "Just a Sweepin" 😀😃🎸🧹)

INSTRUCTION TIME !   Now remember , I am no expert, but am just sharing how I embroider mine. Please prepare your fabric, embroider in whatever manner that  makes you happy. The number one rule is to always have FUN FUN FUN!!!

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut your fabric to 8 1/2 "x 11 1/2" . This will  be trimmed later.

2.  Place the pattern between a light box or a window and center the design as best as possible. Trace the design onto your fabric using your favorite transfer fabric pen or pencil .

3. Embroider the design .  I used a back stitch using 2 strands of DMC 498  on most of the design. A stem stitch would look  quite lovely if you prefer.  I used 1 strand of 498 for the details in the snowman's face.

4. On the snowflakes , I used a French Knot at the end of 4 of the points . You do not have to include the French Knot or you may want to add a teeny bead at each point . How cute would that be!!!

5. Press and trim to block size 7 1/2 x 10 1/2".

Click here for the embroidery pattern.

Thank you so much for stopping by ya'll. I can not wait to show you next week's Frosty. He is my favorite so far.

Happy Stitching, ya'll

Always thankful and forever grateful!
