As with all of the Summer Stamps, I am stitching them twice. Once as a pin pillow on 14 count tea/ coffee dyed Aida . Second I am stitching each stamp in a larger sampler on 14 count Aida that I Rit dyed yellow.
If you are interested in how I dyed my 14 count Aida, I shared the process in a previous post entitled Let's Dye Some Fabric

It seems like everything is going its natural course on the farm!!
ReplyDeleteBees give me the creeps, but I love the honey they make 🤤
Hugs from Spain
Nice to see you, Edna and Ginger. Wowzer that's a lot of bees. Unfortunately, they give me the hee, bee, jeebies - ugh!!! LOL Giant Hugs (as big as that hive) DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that we get to stitch an apiary! Loved the visit to your farm, Melisa, I'd love to stroll through your acres. And you are right, life is definitely better on a farm!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute addition to your Summer Stamp SAL! I enjoyed seeing Edna and Ginger plus the bees this morning. Happy Tuesday, Melisa!

ReplyDeleteGreat to see Edna and Ginger today! Made my day start with a smile!! 😊 Thanks for the cute new summer stamp. Have a great day! Hugs, B
ReplyDeleteWonderful to visit with Edna, Ginger, and you. The bees are busy - 2 new swarms that is great. My dad was a bee keeper and he let me help, so I am excited to stitch the bee stamp. Thank you. My brother-in-law is also cutting hay. I love visiting my sister - life is better on the farm. Have a great day. Alicia
ReplyDeleteThis new stamp is a "sweet" one, Melisa! I'll look forward to stitching it. I'm ready to start Pink Lemonade tonight, so I'm a bit behind, but still enjoying every stitch. I enjoyed the visit to your farm, too!
ReplyDeleteI just love visiting you on the farm! So glad I brought a big glass of lemonade. It's going to be a warm stroll this afternoon. Keep cool, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteHow many hives do you have now? Honey is such an amazing product! I like you newest stamp too! It does the bees proud!

ReplyDeleteThat Stamp is adorable, I'm a little behind with the SAL, but I'll get there. I'm so in love with it, thank you for sharing!

Fun photos of the farm, Melisa! Yay for the bees and two new swarms.
ReplyDeleteI figure this will get a Hee Hee from you. I’ve just begun my love of saltboxes. So far I’ve done a winter one and a spring one so it’s time for the summer saltbox!! And I’m in full on patriotic stitching this year, so, both! So far I have decided on one, kitted it up, changed my mind, kitted up a different one and just got finished changing my mind again and kitting up a third time. The problem, of course, is that you have SO MANY great ones!! Currently, I’ve decided on Mollie William’s Homestead or as I call it, the Stars and Stripes Saltbox. I hope to start stitching tomorrow then I won’t change my mind again!! :). Thank you for being SO good!! Happy stitching!!
ReplyDeleteI’m stitching the birdhouse stamp and there’s a lot going on there. Do you chart the pattern out on paper first and then stitch it or do you stitch first and then chart?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are getting a good jump on your summer stuff for the farm. Another fun stamp for the summer sampler. Happy stitching (and dealing with the bees!)
ReplyDeleteThis is the stamp I am currently working on. I made a mistake in the honey dipper but I may leave it...we will see.
