Can I offer you some zucchini and squash?
We are up to our eyeballs with these delectable vegetables! Hee! Hee!
Our garden is doing fabulous this year.
Soon we will have tomatoes. Though I may have to swipe a few green ones for some fried green tomatoes. Yum ! Yum!
I will be moving the hoop today!

🌞Time to Dye- 2024 post on how I tea/ Coffee Dye my fabric.
Lots of sweetness and goodness in this post. The zucchini and squash look perfect for a nice meal. I can't remember the last time I made or had fried green tomatoes. Talk about a mega treat. YUM!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother stitching day in my corner of the world plus some minimal cooking in the kitchen. In fact, I cooked some chicken thighs earlier so I can make a yummy zucchini and chicken meal. I can hardly wait because it's one I seldom make.
Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs, Hugs, Hug, DarleneJ
Mmm chicken and zucchini- you can't get much better than that. Yum! My daughter suggested I make pasta and add the zucchini to my sauce so I am going to try that this week and maybe make a tomato quiche, but we shall see. LOL. I hope you had a grand day of stitching. I not only got to stitch but I also sat down to the machine and pieced several blocks . So all in all a pretty good day. I wish you a super duper week , Darlene! Big Bear Hugs.
DeleteSounds like a busy week Melisa! Winter Wonderland looks very sweet. You mention Hum of the bees, is this your own pattern? Have I missed seeing any of it? Looking forward to seeing more of this one.
ReplyDeleteFinally had my cataracts done this week, after waiting almost a year (took longer as I needed sedation - different staff and set up). This was our British NHS, and they were brilliant! I had a wonderful surgeon and her team were brilliant too! Haven’t stitched since, but already I can see so much better.
Hugs, Barbara @flashinscissors ☺️🙋♀️🤗👍👋💜🩷xxx
Oh , Barbara, I am so glad to hear that your cataract surgery went well. Now did you have one eye done last year? Do take care this week as you are recovering. It is so wonderful that you had a great doctor and medical team; I am sure worth the wait , but I know you are glad it is over with. Hum of the Bees is one of my designs. I have high hopes to finish it this week- well I have my fingers crossed. I am stitching away on it and hope to share it soon. Thank you for the sweet Sunday visit and keep me updated on how you are doing. Hugs.
DeleteOh I love the bow tie quilt find! Woohoo for moving the hoop. Garden pictures are always welcome! I LOVE to see how others arrange things and bountiful harvest. Happy stitching. :)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Kathy. I was jumping for joy when I found the top. I could not resist putting it in the hoop . I have already moved the hoop again. I hope to make progress this week. Have a blessed day. Hugs.
DeleteYour squash is soooo pretty. Hubs doesn't understand why I don't like the squash in the supermarket, but they are not shiny and smooth and perfectly sized like yours. I did buy a couple to saute with butter and onions!
ReplyDeleteI just copied the link to your Patriotic Pride pattern as well as your photos to start a file for the instructions. That block can be used in so many colors, and I love the embroidery you did on the centers - beautiful!
We are raiding our garden every day and keeping the family well stocked in squash and zucchini though much of it is being frozen now. Mmmm sauteed with onions sounds delightful. I am going to put that on my menu for the week. Oh thank you so much for saving the link to the Patriotic Pride quilt. I wish I had chosen more colors for my blocks, but was in a rush. It would look so pretty all scrappy wouldn't it. Have a wonderful week. Hugs.
DeleteEnjoy your fresh summer veggies. We don't have a garden, but the local farm stands have lots of fresh stuff and we take advantage of that. Congrats on all the progress on your to do list. Good luck with this week's list.
ReplyDeleteOh how lucky are you to have local farm stands to visit. We are not so lucky here. I miss the good ole' days when farmers would set up in town and sell out of their pickup trucks. Thank you for the sweet Sunday visit,Kate. I wish you a wonderful week with Grad Girl and I hope the move goes well. Hugs.
DeleteWell, not only the bees are busy, you are busy as a bee too.so many things in one day! The veggies look mmmmh.
ReplyDeleteQuilt is beautiful.
Hugs, Gabi
LOL I am trying my best to stay as busy as possible. Some days are easier than others. Today was a good day with both stitching and quilting. I hope your week is off to a lovely start dear Gabi. Warm Hugs.
DeleteJust lovely squashes you have there!! I do miss our bigger garden at our old house...nothing like getting up early in the morning to harvest dew-laden veggies is there? :)))
ReplyDeleteOur weather continues hot and muggy and overcast most days here. No red tomatoes yet on my 3 little plants...;(((
I just really love that Bow Tie quilt you are hand quilting--so neat...
Hugs for a great upcoming week...Julierose
Our garden is doing so much better than last year's garden. I think partly because of the mild Spring and early Summer weather. Those hot muggy days are the pits aren't they? It was overcast here today, but thankfully, it was comfortable. We shall see what tomorrow brings though. Thank you so much for the sweet Sunday visit, Julie rose. Warm hugs.
DeleteYour garden looks fantastic, Melisa. Your Bow Tie quilt is looking good. Plans for this week: lots of stitching and a visit to Notforgotten Farm on the 19th. Have a blessed Sunday!
ReplyDeleteOooh how lucky are you, Robin. I bet you will come home filled with inspiration ! A week of stitching sounds amazing to me. Keep those needles flying, sweet friend. Warm hugs.
DeleteOh I love the bow tie quilt find!
ReplyDeleteAnd your garden looks fantastic!!
Have a great Sunday!!

Aaw thank you very kindly, Isabel. I am seeing the light on finishing it. I hope I can work on it every day this week. Fingers crossed. I wish you a wonderful week.Hugs
DeleteOh boy yes I will take your zucchini while I wait for ours to produce, hehee. I have 8 teeny tiny cuc's waiting to grow up that I am excited about!
ReplyDeleteOooh soon you will have a bumper crop! Cucumbers are my favorite. I sure wish I could send you a load of zucchini. Hee! Hee! Happy gardening, Vicki. Hugs.
DeleteWell, I wish I were a little closer to you, I'd certainly take some of those delectable vegetables off your hands! And make some extra fried green tomatoes for me...my favorite! The Bow Tie quilt is coming right along. I hope you have a great week, Melisa. Thanks in advance for linking up with Monday Musings!
ReplyDeleteI certainly would send them your way, Brenda. LOL. We are filling our freezer right now. I already have some canned. More zucchini will be on the menu this week. I am sure we will miss them when they are gone. I hope you had a great weekend. Warm Hugs.
DeleteWish I was closer - those veggies look great! The red quilt is looking great and I love the double stitching on the red areas. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteI wish you were closer too, Deb. I would load you down with veggies. Hee! Hee! I am looking forward to finishing this quilt. I already have another one ready to take its place in the hoop. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteIf I lived closer, I'd come get some squash! My friend who used to supply me with zucchini doesn't garden anymore, darn it. Patriotic Pride looks wonderful and so does your Winter Wonderland stitch. This week I'm hoping to get some more quilting done on one of my RSC quilt projects - fingers crossed I'll make some progress there!
ReplyDeleteI certainly would load you down with squash. We have crooked neck and summer squash. We have been enjoying them. I wish you all the best on working on your RSC projects. I am going to pull out my other RSC projects too. Thank you for the sweet visit, Diann. Hugs.
DeleteSo many wonderful projects in the works. Yummy veggies ~ do you have a vegetable stand? Zucchini and squash can sure take over it great conditions and you certainly have that :) Have had a fried green tomato in years. M mouth is watering! (nwpaintedlady)
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks amazing! The squash is so healthy. I love fried green tomatoes, too. You have some fun stitching projects going. Those are some tiny quilting stitches in Otis Payne's Bow Tie quilt. Lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love some zucchini and squash! Sure do miss those gardens but I guess not all the work! Still, a couple of those plants wouldn't kill me - I don't think! LOL Really love the bow tie quilt! Blessings!
