Playing with Four Patches

 It is hot as blue blazes! But I am not complaining too much because  I am a warm weather kinda gal. 🌞 

Happy Friday y'all and welcome. Are you trying to stay cool as  the center seed of a cucumber? 😀🥒🥒🥒I sure am.

I fully finished Summertime U.S.A. Stamp

 Yesterday I rustled  up a few pieces of fabric to make some test blocks.  As soon as I saw Bonnie Hunter's new leader/ ender block for the year, I fell head over heels in love with it. 

 I certainly had a grand ole' time piecing these blocks.

 In fact they are a bit addictive. I think it is called Four Patch Fun ; I am not for sure. Super cuter and super simple! Now that is right up my alley! 

I am using 2 1/2" squares and 2 1/2"x 4 1/2" rectangles for my blocks.  So the finished block will measure 8". 

Anywhoo I played with different arrangements in the setting. Today will be  Four Patch Friday where I work on more of these blocks.

This recipe sounds yummy!  I need to go to the grocery store.🥮🍍🟠🌞

SUNSHINE CAKE

 INGREDIENTS:
1 (18. 25 oz.)  package moist yellow cake mix

4 eggs 

1/2 c vegetable oil

1 (11 oz.  ) can of mandarin oranges, undrained

1 ( 16 oz. ) package frozen whipped topping thawed

1 ( 5 oz. ) package instant vanilla pudding mix

1 ( 20 oz. ) can crushed pineapple with juice

DIRECTIONS:

1. Beat the eggs, and add them to the boxed cake mix. Add the oil and the mandarin oranges with juice to the batter. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. 

2. Bake the cake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 325 degrees F. Cool on a wire rack. 

3. While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting by mixing together the whipped dessert topping, the package of instant pudding , and the crushed pineapple with its juices. Set frosting in the refrigerator to set. Frost when cake has thoroughly cooled.

The other day I went down into the bottoms that is the lower field. 

You can barely see the barn off in the distance.  ( Sorry for the fuzz on my lens. )

Big Bad Brad and one of the heifers were taking a cool dip in the pond. 

The babes are always a joy to see. 

Look at those sweet faces. 

And here's Elmer! It has been awhile since you have seen him. He looks like he is ready for a nap. He is a good ole' boy. 

It is time to get going! I have some four patches to work on  and who knows what I will get into after that. Now you have a beautiful day and...
