Lovely blocks you are getting ready to do some basket work on, Melisa! Hope you got the binding finished on the other basket mini. Have a marvelous Monday!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Robin. I was able to get the binding done while enjoying some time on the porch. It is always relaxing work. Hope you are having a great week. Hugs.
DeleteYour blocks are so cheery - especially for those overcast days. You have quite a busy week ahead of you. Today's is dh's birthday so we're celebrating with friends and then will be traveling again up to Devil's Tower. Travel days keep me busy!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope your hubby had a wonderful birthday, Donna. I wish I was on the road with you. You are visiting some amazing sites this year. It has been over 10 years since I have been to Devil's Tower. . I hope you have been enjoying good weather as you travel. I look forward to hearing where your next destination is.Safe travels. Hugs.
DeleteThose baskets are adorable! Today, fingers crossed, I'm pin basting a top. Now to get the leaf in the table. . .TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Terry. I enjoy making mini basket quilts every now and again. I hope you got all of your basting completed so your quilt can go into the hoop. Have a great week.
DeleteLove the bright colors in your little quilts. So cheery! We’re enjoying a lazy day today. I may try to pin a small quilt top, or may do some cross stitching! Keep on keeping on!
ReplyDeleteOh lazy days are always nice especially after a busy week. Sounds like some fabulous projects to enjoy on a warm summer's day. I hope you got your top all pinned and prepped for quilting . Happy quilting and stitching. Hugs.
DeleteYou are preparing a magnificent base for your new quilt with bright and cheerful colors, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt in the basket is also very pretty, my friend... and you have many plans for this week!
Hugs
Aah thank you so much, Isabel. I thought these cheerful fabrics would be perfect for a summer basket quilt. I hope you have been having a blessed week. Hugs.
DeleteYou made me smile, with the "basket case" comments!! That is me lately, too much that I want to do and want to finish and not enough hours to do .....I do this to myself all the time. Love your basket quilt and the new base is such a cherry background. Enjoy your day and all will fall into place, just as it always does when we let it happen naturally. Summer is here in Arizona, yeah. Very warm hugs from sunny Arizona to my sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteLol, we work ourselves into a frazzle about wanting to get a lot done, don't we, Mary? I think we need more hours in the day. Thank you so much about my little quilt; these fabrics make my heart sing. I hope it is not getting too hot in your neck of the woods. The news was talking about a heat dome in the southwest and I thought of you. Stay cool, my sweet friend. Hugs.
DeleteI've kept myself 'on task' the past two days so I see I've missed quite a bit. Belated Father's Day wishes to the man of your dreams. I hope you and your family had a wonderful day. Love the basket quilt you're working on. I hope you had a fabulous Monday.
ReplyDeleteOh, Darlene. I am so glad that you have been having a very productive week so far. I have been distracted by household and gardening chores and have not had much stitching fun well not as much as I want at least. Lol. Thank you so much for the sweet Father's Day wishes. Hubby and all the dad's in my family had a great weekend. We had a fish fry and they enjoyed every minute of it. Have an awesome week, Darlene. Hugs.
DeleteI was experimenting with foundation paper piecing. It is not a favorite technique, but I found Brenda at Conquering Mount Scrapmore YouTube has a method I might be able to enjoy, once I can do it well enough that it doesn't take all afternoon to do one block! I loved your yellow baskets, and look forward to seeing the new ones.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are staying very busy , Susan. Thank you so much for telling me about Brenda. I will have to watch her video. I am like you- paper piecing is not my favorite. I get mixed up on placement a lot so I look forward to seeing her video. I hope you enjoyed the new method. Hugs.
DeleteI just started my Candy Corn house and it is such a fun stitch altho it makes me hungry for candy corn.lol I am also trying to finish up a sampler so I can have it framed. Heading to Huntsville today for our North Alabama Stitchers meet up!! Always a fun time.
ReplyDeleteOh I am so excited to hear that you are working on Candy Corn house, Arlene. Thank you so much for stitching it. I bet you will have it completed in no time. Lol you will have to wait for a few months for candy corn unless you have a stash of it. Hmmm some online stores might sell it though. Lol. Have a great time with your sweet friends. I am sure you will come back inspired . Hugs.
DeleteLoving the basket quilt and the new one! I think RED baskets would be awesome on those yellow blocks!! It's very cheerful. Thanks in advance for linking up with us at Monday Musings!
ReplyDeleteOh Brenda. Thank you so much for suggesting what color to use on the new basket quilt. I still hadn't decided yet and of course red is one of my favorite colors. Hugs.
DeleteYour Summer Days quilt is so pretty and, since it looks like the 9-Patch quilt is using similar colored fabrics, the 9-Patch quilt is going to be a winner too. Keep on stitchin', Melisa. Your projects are so cheerful and who couldn't use a spot of happiness??!!
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Susie. I have been quilting on my Summer Days quilt for the last few days. I do tend to be drawn to certain cheerful colors . I hope you are having a wonderful week. Hugs.
DeleteYour quilt with the baskets is great, I would choose a red fabric for the cups.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on a summer stitch this week, it's slow going on the fine fabric, but it's getting a little bit bigger every day.
enjoy the week
Martina
Oh thank you so much Martina for the great suggestion on the basket colors. I do think I will do just that. Red is one of my favorite colors so I know that I will enjoy every bit of working on the baskets. I hope you are enjoying your summer stitch. Have a wonderful week. Hugs.
DeleteYour quilting is beautiful. I wish I could learn to do it! I can only cross stitch ๐
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Lori. I bet you would do a beautiful job quilting. I hope you give it a try sometime. I am self taught, but now there are all kinds of great videos that teach beginners . Have a blessed rest of the week and enjoy your sweet stitching. Hugs.
