It's raining cats and "jacks" in the holler! π§π±π
Happy Happy Saturday, sweet friends. We finally are getting a spot of rain after a long dry spell.
But before I get into my post , let me thank everyone for the sweetest compliments and visits on my last couple of posts. Blogger is giving me the blues and is not allowing me to reply back. Aaargh! πMaybe it will be better behaved tonight. Fingers crossed!
But back today's happenings. What to do on a rainy day? Well stitch and quilt ! Hee! Hee!
Last night , cats and jacks jumped out of my attic as the rain began to fall. That is my Halloween decorations.
Soon they were making their way onto the hutch. The theme of the hutch all started with Walmart's newest cat cookie jar. Swoon! Meow! Thumpity Thump! I love it! π€πΊπ§‘π
| The cat cookie jar is my newest Halloween piece from Walmart. They have the dog cookie jar too. |
By night's end, most of the goodies were on the hutch . Today I will continue to wrangle those Halloween pieces and change out the quilts.
But I do want to work on a little Prim Cat and Pumpkins Pinkeep .
UPDATE: OCTOBER 3, 2026- It did not take long to stitch up Prim Cat and Pumpkins Pinkeep , and I fully finished it - all in a few short hours. I added a gourd pin with a scrap of fabric and some buttons to one corner. Prim Cat and Pumpkins is stitched on 14 count coffee/ tea dyed Aida.

The Prim Cat and Pumpkins Pinkeep looks like it will be a fast stitch for Halloween. I enjoyed the Halloween Hutch past and present. It is fun to see the "theme" for each year. While I decorate, I must admit that I am not that creative. Thanks for the pinkeep and the visit. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh it was, Alicia. I just finished the Pinkeep tonight and even FFOd it. I do enjoy those quick stitches every now and then. Thank you so much for taking the time to join me as I hopped down memory lane in respect to my hutches. I hope you have had a wonderful day, Alicia. Hugs.
DeleteCute little Prim kitty and punkins. Thank you. So many different themes, even for halloween, and all with a little something different and something special. You are so good at the decorating. The different cookie jars are really fun.
ReplyDeleteAaw shucks, Thank you so much, Ginny. I enjoy changing things up a little even if I use the same pieces every year. I hope to fully finish some more big cross stitch Halloween pieces that have been lingering so I can have something new out. Fingers crossed I can find the perfect frames though- I may have to get creative. Have a wonderful evening, sweet friend. Hugs.

DeleteIt is definitely feeling like fall up here. The leaves are falling off the tree with the breeze blowing and a ton of acorns are raining down too! The deer are enjoying them along with the squirrels. The temps are in the 60s for a high.
ReplyDeleteOooh it does sound like "fall weather" has settled in your neck of the woods. I think with the rain that we have had over the weekend , we will see a change in temps too. I bet it is a hoot to watch the wildlife. Thank you for dropping by, Vicki. Hugs.
