Doing the Roundabout

I am doing a roundabout on my Roundabouts !

What's that ? you ask. Hmmm... I am not sure . I just mean I circled back to Frosty Chill Roundabout and pulled out Jack the Ripper. 😲

Frosty McChill mini quilt fixing to be taken apart with Jack the Ripper

In January, I had pieced Frosty Chill Roundabout into a little quilt with all of the intentions of making monthly "roundabouts " into small quilts to hang on my antique Hoosier top.

A little quilt I made in January.

When SCREEEECH!!!! All of that came to a halt after stitching the Bunny Roundabout .

That is when a little idea began to brew in the back of my head, and I did a roundabout and circled around ripped out Frosty Chill Roundabout and came up with a new plan. Hee! Hee!

Oh, what trouble I get myself into sometimes. Or should I say quilting mischief.

Anywhooo... I decided to make a larger quilt with all of the doodles.

So off to the quilt room I skipped. I pulled out my special totes of pretty vintagey looking fabrics and went to town cutting 2 1/2" squares.

So now I am framing each block with 20-  2 1/2" squares( unfinished).  The embroidered block measures 8 1/2( unfinished) .
After framing the embroidered block, each monthly roundabout will measure 12 1/2" squared unfinished.

Where the blocks go from here? Well, I am not sure. I may make them larger or I may just add sashing. I am flying by the seat of my pants again. 😀 Wheeeww!

There will be 12 Roundabouts which I will be sharing  each month ( usually close to the 1st of the month).

If you missed any of the little Roundabout doodles , just click on the colored links and you will be magically transported back to the post.

Alright Sweethearts, I best get to work stitching the flowers on May's Roundabout. I am woefully behind.

Have a spectacular Saturday!
