Changing Out the Quilts

A very merry Monday to you, Sweetness. Gosh, I do believe it will be another glorious day! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

How about we head to my small foyer to see what quilts I put out on the thrifted shutters.

One of the first places  that I like to decorate as the seasons change is my small foyer/hall.   I have 3 thrifted shutters that I  enjoy draping quilts and tops over seasonally.

Front and center is the Bee Skep quilt that I finished in 2021.

Just because a quilt top is not quilted is not going to stop me from using it.  ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜€

On the 2nd shutter is Hey Day , a pattern by Villa Rosa Designs

Papa's New Holland Square Baler with my Hey Day quilt top.

And last but not least is a little four patch called Green Apple Butter. I posted a tutorial on it in 2023. Click here to visit that post.

Now tell me. Do you have a favorite place that you like to decorate seasonally?

If you have a chance, drop back by tomorrow . I will be sharing more country clutter including the cross stitch pieces that I used in the foyer for the month.

 As always,

Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Melisa

Dedicated to my dear sister, Amy. I miss and love you so much.   ❤๐Ÿ‘ผ

Two more thrifty finds that I purchased on the World's Longest Yard Sale. A cake plate and deviled eggs dish- perfect for the upcoming holidays.

I still have my favorite egg dish out  for display . It has faux eggs in it.

I am joining these lovely ladies' link parties. I hope you check them out; they always have so many wonderful projects going on and provide the opportunity for other needleworkers to meet.

  1. Oooh such pretty quilts! ๐Ÿ˜
I have a dedicated spot for my decorations too. My hubby built me a beautiful shelf (one of those cube ones) I use to display my seasonal cross stitches and decorations on and he also built a matching quilt ladder that's right next to it so I can display my quilts. ๐Ÿฅฐ Wish we had a bigger house though ๐Ÿ˜…
Thanks for sharing your collection and inspiring us! ๐Ÿค—

  3. Oh my goodness, oh my goodness this is a delightful and wonderful post. I'm crazy about your Green Apple Butter quilt - it's beyond adorable. Seriously cute! I have a huge pile of small quilts and only a handful are quilted. It's time to get busy. LOL I have very little desire to make larger quilts. I usually have plans to decorate for the holidays but I seldom "git her done". LOL Do you happen to have any sage advice??? I will share that I have a huge stressor happening in my life that has me frozen in place - not sure that makes sense. Happy, happy Monday dear lady and thank you for sharing your beauties. Big, big hugs, DarleneJ

  8. Well, no seasonal quilts. I do have a small wall, where I change out my monthly and seasonal cross stitch smalls. I also have a hangar on one of the doors for seasonal cross stitch. Love your quilts - especially Hey Dey. Will be getting started on the bow tie quilt (pic I sent to you) when we get home to FL - looking forward to hand quilting it. Blessings!

  15. I really like your shutter display idea--I don't have a specific display spot for seasonal quilts--mostly on dining table and draped over my Grand-mere's old caned rocker...I would love a quilt ladder though--on the lookout for one that doesn't cost the earth!!
Hot and humid here today--82 already at 9:30 a.m. and dewpoint up to 70--AC for me hugs, Julierose
