So much eye candy in this post. Very excited to see your yellow on the positive side blocks and the hutch decor is lovely, as usual. In the morning when I open up my back slider, I've really been enjoying the birds in the trees along my back wall. Spring has been my favorite season for as long as I can remember. The extreme summer heat makes me very unhappy. Ugh! LOL Have a wonderful Saturday - keep those needles threaded. Big, Big Hugs!!! Darlene J
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday, Miss Darlene. Aaah it sounds like you are enjoying some beautiful Spring weather too. The birds have been very busy here too. Yesterday I sat outside and got ate up by skeeters LOL. I am not ready for them. Enjoy your day sweet friend and thank you for the Saturday visit. Hugs.
DeleteI do agree. Yellow is a beautiful color. I love looking at a field of sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day !
I think yellow ranks as one of my top favorite colors. A field of sunflowers always brings a warm smile doesn't it? I look forward to seeing those sunny blooms in a few short months. Have a beautiful day, Annelies and thank you for dropping by. Hugs.
DeleteLook at all those yummy yellow fabrics! Yellow is a beautiful color, it makes us happy. Love your Plus blocks in rainbow colors. Cute little stitchery too. Have a great weekend!

DeleteHappy First Day of March - is it me or is time flying by? It seems like yesterday we took down the Christmas decorations! I'll be changing out a few of my cross stitches also. Love your "On the positive side" quilt! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI meant to ask...is this your pattern or someone else's?
DeleteThese last couple of months have flown by . Haven't they, Donna? Soon we will be creeping into the summer months . I was planning to change out some of my cross stitch pieces this weekend too. I need to dig out the Spring bins. Thank you so much for asking about the On the Positive Side " blocks. I just made it up . Feel free to piece them. I am using 2 1/2" blocks and strips. They are easy peasy blocks to work on. Have a sunny Saturday and warm hugs from the holler.
DeleteThere is something really special about yellow and spring! Hope you have a wonderful weekend Melisa.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree Linda. The color yellow certainly gets you in the mood for warmer weather that is for sure. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine. It is a sunny day here. Have a fabulous weekend and thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteLove your welcoming, crayoned smiling sun!! What a lovely entrance for your March 1st blog, Melisa! I have a peachey-yellow cactus blooming today to welcome us to this month;)))
ReplyDeleteYour Plus signs are really coming along so well in all those colors. Nice work! Love the yellow with the little blue flowers fabric--yum!! Hoping for a good month for you and yours,
Hugs, Julierose
Aaah I would love to grow a cactus. I have always wanted an Easter or Christmas cactus. I bet yours is just lovely and how perfect to welcome in March. I just went out to my greenhouse to check my plants. They seem to be doing good. Hopefully , the will survive until it is time they go out on the patio. Isn't that yellow blue fabric gorgeous? I do need to get more of it. It spoke to me as soon as I saw it. Have a blessed and beautiful day, sweet friend. Hugs.
DeleteThe yellow is so bright and happy! We woke up to snow this morning. Happy stitching & quilting!
ReplyDeleteOh Gretchen, I bet you are just plumb tired of the snow. Hopefully, it will warm up in your neck of the woods very soon. But on the positive side it is a good day to stay in and quilt the day away. I hope you have a fabulous weekend. Thank you for the sweet Saturday visit. Hugs.
DeleteLove love love your positive plus quilt blocks!

DeleteThe color yellow is one I used to avoid. . .not anymore. . it just brings sunshine and happiness every time I use it. That was what I thought as I looked at your photos and read your post. . .lost of sunshine and happiness!!!---TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we turn to colors that in years past we never used. I was that way about browns and grays and now I am trying to build up my stash with these lovely colors. Yellow certainly screams happiness to me. It is one of my favorite colors. Have a super day, dear Terry . Thank you for the sweet sunny visit. Hugs.

ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday, Robin. It sounds like you are having the same weather we are. I am not sure if we are on a fire alert though. I will have to check. It is hard to believe it is March already isn't it? Have a very Happy March. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

Oh yes, it is one of my favorites too, Isabel. It just makes me feel happy. I wish you a blessed day and a wonderful month of March. Thank you for the sweet visit. Warm hugs.
DeleteIt's sunny and warm in Colorado on this first day of March, too! I hope that doesn't mean we'll have snowstorms at the end of the month, but you never know around here. Your yellow plus blocks are so pretty - I'm ready to sew with my yellow scraps, too!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful, Diann. I know you were ready for the sunshine and warmth. I will keep my fingers crossed that snow doesn't return to your area. I can not wait to see what you have in store for your yellow scraps. I know it will be something awesome. Have a fabulous weekend. Hugs.
DeleteYou are surrounded by a lot of yellow. It's my youngest son's favorite happy color though he says it is a hard one to wear. I don't think many people can wear yellow. I've tried mustard yellow but just feel right -- though I do love it in decor. Happy crafting. Happy spring.
ReplyDeleteHi, Tammy. Oh yes, yellow is a happy happy color. Come to think of it , I have some yellow outfits now that you mention it. Mustard color is one of my faves. I hope you are having a great 1st day of March. Have a blessed day and thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

Happy sunday, Gabi
I am exactly like you , Gabi. I bit of yellow in the house always brings brightness. It has always been a favorite color of mine. I hope your week is off to a great start. Warm hugs. And thank you for the sweet visit.
DeleteYellow is one of my favorite colors too -- so bright & cheerful! It surely made for a bright & cheerful post from you. Between your "lucky" cross stitches and yellow quilty things, there's a lot of golden deliciousness here. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you , Susie. I was super excited when Angela announced yellow for this month's color. I adore yellow. I had a great time pulling together my St. Patty's stitches. I finally have them all out on display .Have a great week. Hugs.
DeleteYellow is perfect for bringing a sunshiny feeling to our days. We are still waking up to very frosty mornings but things warm up during the day. Your pastel thread choices for Spring Flutter bring Easter to mind. I started some Candy Roaster seeds in the front window and 2 of them have popped up. That gave me a little thrill. I think I will start some marigold seeds, too.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ginny. We awoke to a chilly morning ourselves ,but it has warmed up nicely. I planted some marigold the other day in the greenhouse. They are coming up . I planted some pepper seeds today- we shall see on those. LOL. I was watching Whipperwill Holler on Youtube and she was planting some of her seeds in trays and working with her seedlings. I am ready to get busy in the garden - that is for sure. Have a wonderful day. Hugs.
DeleteYou have some pretty and cheerful fabrics to use for this month's RSC. That yellow spring hutch makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteAaaw you are so kind, Jeanna. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is hard for me to resist a pretty piece of yellow fabric when I see it. LOL. Have a blessed day. Hugs.
DeleteIt's a warm day here too and with all this yellow my mind is on spring! Love the RSC blocks you are making. What a happy quilt! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
