Sprinkles of Yellow and Sunny Quilting

Welcome, Sunshine!  A beautiful day it is! How are you doing on this lovely day?

And may I wish you a very Happy March? Will it roar in like a lion?  Hmmm, I am not sure yet. Right now the weather has turned to bright skies and sunny warm days.  Fingers crossed it will remain that way. 😀🤞
"March" a freebie from Rainbow Gallery website, Shamrocks Word Stitch a freebie from Helen D. on her flosstube #76Putting on the Green and Shamrock Mini Sampler freebies of mine.

Angela at So Scrappy blog has issued this month's challenge; we are celebrating the color yellow for the month of March.  What a perfect color to welcome in spring. 💛💛💛

Oh, I do love the color yellow!  It is sprinkled throughout the house.

Yellow pottery on the mantle.
Blue Transferware and McCoy pottery perched on the mantle.

Last year's yellow Spring hutch decor.

Yellow fabrics waiting to be cut into wee squares.

Some of these fabrics were gifted to me from sweet Elaine. Thank you , dear. 🤗💛😘 They are so yummy.

Five more On the  Positive Side Blocks pieced.  All pieced in yellows.
Five yellow "On the Positive Side" blocks pieced.

These blocks measure 10 1/2" squared.

19 blocks are pieced. On the Positive Side is growing. I will set this project aside until next month.

I will be spending the day working on a spring cross stitch and perhaps piece a few crumb blocks.
Not a lot is going on in the holler , but it sure is sunny on this 1st day of March.
How is the month starting off for you?

 As Always,

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Thank you for the sweet visit.

  1. So much eye candy in this post. Very excited to see your yellow on the positive side blocks and the hutch decor is lovely, as usual. In the morning when I open up my back slider, I've really been enjoying the birds in the trees along my back wall. Spring has been my favorite season for as long as I can remember. The extreme summer heat makes me very unhappy. Ugh! LOL Have a wonderful Saturday - keep those needles threaded. Big, Big Hugs!!! Darlene J

They are easy peasy blocks to work on. Have a sunny Saturday and warm hugs from the holler.

I just went out to my greenhouse to check my plants. They seem to be doing good. Hopefully , the will survive until it is time they go out on the patio. Isn't that yellow blue fabric gorgeous? I do need to get more of it. It spoke to me as soon as I saw it. Have a blessed and beautiful day, sweet friend. Hugs.

  17. You are surrounded by a lot of yellow. It's my youngest son's favorite happy color though he says it is a hard one to wear. I don't think many people can wear yellow. I've tried mustard yellow but just feel right -- though I do love it in decor. Happy crafting. Happy spring.

  20. Yellow is perfect for bringing a sunshiny feeling to our days. We are still waking up to very frosty mornings but things warm up during the day. Your pastel thread choices for Spring Flutter bring Easter to mind. I started some Candy Roaster seeds in the front window and 2 of them have popped up. That gave me a little thrill. I think I will start some marigold seeds, too.

    1. Hi, Ginny. We awoke to a chilly morning ourselves ,but it has warmed up nicely. I planted some marigold the other day in the greenhouse. They are coming up . I planted some pepper seeds today- we shall see on those. LOL. I was watching Whipperwill Holler on Youtube and she was planting some of her seeds in trays and working with her seedlings. I am ready to get busy in the garden - that is for sure. Have a wonderful day. Hugs.
